Talk about coming out of left field! "Someone Like You" singer Adele quietly put a post on her website Friday afternoon announcing her first pregnancy.
"I'm delighted to announce that Simon [Konecki] and I are expecting our first child together," the 24-year-old wrote. "I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx."
The singer and her boyfriend have only been dating for a few months, but the 38-year-old is already a divorced father. It sounds like she's thrilled with her upcoming mommy status - especially since she told People that she wants to have "three sons" before turning 30. She's well on her way.
This year has had its fair share of celebrity pregnancy surprises. Who else hit us with some crazy baby news?
"Jersey Shore" star Snooki was more known for being a drunken messy than the motherly type, but that quickly changed earlier this year when she admitted her pregnancy. Since then we've heard everything about her pregnancy - including that she's having a baby boy. The pint-sized reality star admitted she wanted a girl, but she quickly warming up to having a boy.
"Everyone said I was going to have a boy, and they were right!" she told InTouch Weekly in May. "I thought it was going to be a girl. I was hoping it would be, because all girls want girls. It's still my baby, no matter what. I'm excited either way!"
"Dean, Liam, Stella, Hattie and I are beyond thrilled to announce that another little McDermott is on the way! We feel truly blessed that another angel has found us," she wrote on her official blog, along with a cute belly show. Hattie was only born in October and the couple figured they couldn't get pregnant so soon.
They were wrong, obviously.
It's that surprising that "True Blood" star Anna Paquin is pregnant - she's married to her co-star, Stephen Moyer, after all. Still, we were surprised this week when co-star Sam Trammell let it slip that the couple is expecting twins!
"I'm so excited for them," Trammell told US Weekly. "We sent them a special gift. It's so interesting that True Blood has become, like, the 'twins' show."
We certainly hope he had their permission before dropping the news. Otherwise, it could get pretty awkward on the "True Blood" set.
Are you surprised by Adele's pregnancy?
