Nude dresses were big at the 2013 Golden Globes on January 13. The problem with wearing nude is that it's easy for the dress to look boring and the wearer to look washed out. Not everyone can pull it off and not everyone should wear it. Which celebs rocked their nude gown on the red carpet and who should have went with a punch of more color?
The 38-year-old, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, looked bland and boring in her nude strapless mermaid-style Marchesa frock. While the wispy tulle below the knee was lovely, there was no oomph anywhere above it. Some crystal detailing and a statement necklace would have been just what she needed to pump up the look.
Now this is how to wear a nude gown without it being a yawn fest. The beauty wore a Reem Acra gown that shimmered and shined from top-to-bottom. Why she chose a black clutch, we have no idea, but the other finishing touches as well as her hair and makeup were spot on.
The Zuhair Murad long-sleeve nude gown had white embroidered lace over every angle and curve. It's a pretty and sexy dress, but the look just made you say "Meh." We've seen the same silhouette and color on her numerous times before so it's nothing particularly exciting. A little change up would be nice.
The actress walked the red carpet in a nude Zuhair Murad gown that had a satin bow around the middle and a glittering embellished design along the bodice that continued down most of the dress. At least she looked beautiful from the neck down. Whomever did her makeup and hair should be given a huge slap on the wrist. She wore atrocious dark makeup and to make matters worse her hair looked like she just tossed it in a bun after working out at the gym. The beauty is capable of so much more.
Let's hear it! Which nude gown from the 2013 Golden Globes is your favorite?
