Abbie Cornish says she moved to Los Angeles to be closer to beau Ryan Phillippe.

"I guess I was lucky because it was love that brought me here, not work," the Australian-born actress -- who currently lives with Reese Witherspoon's ex in the Hollywood Hills -- tells the September issue of W magazine.

"I think the city feels and looks a little bit different because of that," continues Cornish, who next stars in drama Bright Star (out this October).

Still, Cornish says she's not engaged to Phillippe, whom she met on the set of war flick Stop-Loss. When asked if they'll wed one day, she admits, "I don't know [if we have plans in that direction]."

Cornish, 27, also opens up about taking the blame for splitting up Phillippe and Witherspoon's marriage in 2006 -- and the media coverage surrounding the relationship triangle.

"It was a really difficult time for me," she says. "In a normal, successful career, someone usually learns these things bit by bit. For me, it was like night and day. I woke up one day and there was this whole new thing I had to process and deal with."

    She's probably not as pretty as I think.She gives me hope for younger pretty woman who act and/or sing if a woman doesn't like me.This is it for all the women 2 years apart & less, right?What would be her downside if LeAnn didn't like me?I would take the blame for splitting up her and Phillippe if that ever happens.It's good not to be too much on LeAnns ...

    I hardly doubt she was the reason Reese & Ryan split. They likely had problems for a long time. Reese got pregnant and they married really young by Hollywood standards..and as we've seen time and time again those marriages don't make it.     however...reese has jake so she absolutely got the best gift bag! you could tell when they were divorcd reese was really hurt & confused but at the end of the day again, shes sleepin with jake! so theres mud in your eye! breakin up a marriage isnt a cool thing at all,thank GOD reese didnt turn n2 a jennifer anistion,at least reese moved on and proved it wasnt the end of he world!
