Jeremy Renner might be a regular fixture in some of the year's biggest action blockbusters, but that doesn't mean the 41-year-old is eager to quit his second job.
The "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" and "Avengers" star used his first big studio paycheck from the 2002 crime thriller "S.W.A.T." to remodel a 1960s residence. He walked away with a cool $241,000 in profit, and he hasn't stopped since.
"The Bourne Legacy" star explained in the upcoming August issue of Esquire that he's flipped 15 houses in the Los Angeles area and is busy with one of his largest jobs to date--an 11-bedroom mega-mansion in Beverly Hills that the actor hopes to sell for a whopping $25 million.
However, the Oscar-nominated actor isn't the only one in Tinseltown with a surprising second job.
The quirky and affable star of "Big Miracle" and "Whip It" has decided to show off a bit of her foodie side these days. The newlywed tried her hand at winemaking last year and recently launched her very own Barrymore Pinot Grigio made from grapes grown in the Triveneto area of northeastern Italy. While the mother-to-be isn't able to imbibe her latest creation at the moment, she served the eponymous vino at her recent June wedding .
Ashton Kutcher isn't the only celebrity diving into the world of venture capital and startup investments. While on the set of the upcoming Baz Luhrmann film "The Great Gatsby" the second highest-paid actor in Hollywood even convinced his friend and co-star Tobey Maguire to get in on a round of funding for Mobli -- a photo-sharing site.
When the two actors are not busy playing a respectable policeman on TV or revamping the role of undercover detective Ricardo Tubbs in Michael Mann's "Miami Vice," Tom Selleck and Jamie Foxx can be found sharing a property line and a second occupation as avocado farmers. The former "Magnum P.I." star even stoked a bit of a friendly celebrity rivalry , saying "my avocados are a little better than his and they're selling like hotcakes... Mine will sell more because my trees are older. I've got about 2,100 trees; Jamie has more but I lost 600 in the big freeze."
The "Good Luck Chuck" and "Sin City" actress might be better known for turning heads, but the sexy 'mompreneur' is also busy changing minds. The mother-of-two is making a name for herself as one of the world's sexiest environmentalists after starting The Honest Company this January--offering everything from plant-based diapers and baby wipes to organic baby balm. The 31-year-old is even releasing a new book later this year on how to live a natural, toxin-free life.
When he isn't delivering administrative wisdom with a deadpan wit as Ron Swanson on NBC's sitcom "Parks and Recreation" the mustachioed management maven is up to his elbows in sawdust and wood shavings at his Offerman Wood Shop where he's made everything from tables and boats to mustache combs. Offerman even has his own 'how-to' video on the art of fine woodstrap canoe building.
