'50 Shades of Grey’ Movie: Which Actors Are Interested in Playing Christian Grey?

Chris Hemsworth heats up in "Thor."

The "50 Shades of Grey" movie has sparked a ton of talk about which actor and actress are going to get cast in it, so it's definitely seems destined to become the next "Twilight" or "The Hunger Games."

But of course it's going to be a bit different with all those sex toys -- there are a lot of uncomfortable sex scenes in "50 Shades of Grey." Fortunately this hasn't stopped a slew of sexy actors from stepping forward to bravely say that they're willing to try a little pretend BDSM. Here's a look at some of the guys who are willing to enter the world of whips, handcuffs, and nipple clamps:

    Ryan Guzman

This former model and MMA fighter not be a big name yet, but he is a fast learner - he had no dance experience before sashaying his way into the lead role in "Step Up Revolution." So it's not surprising that Ryan told Celebuzz, "Let's do it," when he was asked if he would star in the "50 Shades" movie. Filming dance scenes is similar to filming sex scenes since there's a lot of sweat and intimacy involved, and just like BDSM, there's plenty of pain - poor Ryan "pulled a butt cheek" while working on his dance flick.

    Channing Tatum

The star of the original "Step Up" movie told Glamour this when asked if he would play Christian Grey: "(1) Yes. (2) I'd only be allowed if my wife was Ana. She's read the books, so I don't think she'd be impressed if she couldn't be Ana!" Channing's wife Jenna Dewan, who starred in "Step Up" with him, might be too much of a sex kitten to play naïve Anastasia Steele, but many "Magic Mike" fans would accept Channing's condition just to get to see him strip down again. Or maybe they'd prefer his equally-sexy costar below.

    Matt Bomer

"American Psycho" author Bret Easton Ellis might think that this actor is too gay to play Christian Grey, but Matt told "Access Hollywood" that the role "sounds amazing." So there's hope for all the Fifty fans who stood up for the actor when Ellis complained about his sexual orientation.

    William Levy

This Latino hunk is another guy who wants to take his smooth moves from the dance floor to the bedroom (or the Red Room of Pain, rather). The "Dancing with the Stars" competitor actually read the "50 Shades" books after women kept telling him he should play Christian, and he admits that he was a bit disturbed about what they wanted him to do at first. But then he told Celebuzz this: "You know if the opportunity comes for me to play this role I would play it. I would love to do it."

    Ian Somerhalder

The star of "The Vampire Diaries" has long been a favorite for the role. He told MTV News that playing a 170-year-old vampire in love with an 18-year-old has given him "a lot of experience seducing younger women."

    Colin Egglesfield

Colin is used to being around a lot of sex and lingerie on the set of "The Client List," so it's not surprising that he thinks he would be comfortable playing a kinky character like Christian.

    Chris Hemsworth

Will Thor trade his hammer for a flogger? This "Snow White and the Huntsman" hottie might not be sure that the "50 Shades" role is right for him, but he did tell Celebuzz this: What is it? I dunno, maybe I'm interested."

    Joe Manganiello

During the L.A. premiere of "Magic Mike," this "True Blood" hottie told "EXTRA" that he'd be up for the role and said this about playing Christian Grey: "None of us have problems with nudity, so there you go."

    Alexander Skarsgard

But he's facing some stiff competition from his "True Blood" costar. Alexander explained to "Access Hollywood" why he'd be perfect for the part: "He's got a sex chamber? My character [Eric Northman] has that on 'True Blood.' He's got his little dungeon. I was born to play that part."

But who would play Anastasia Steele? While "Pretty Little Liars" stars Lucy Hale and Ashley Benson have both said that they're interested in the movie, rumor has it that author E.L. James is looking at "The Descendants" star Shailene Woodley for the part.

So do you think Shailene can pull it off, and which one of these guys could be her Christian?
