5 of Hollywood's Most Likeable Couples

Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker have been together for nearly 20 years.

With Valentine's Day yesterday, and with all the recent news of celebrity breakups we thought it might be fun to look at the more positive side of love in Tinseltown. While there are plenty of Hollywood hookups that leave us scratching our heads, or worse, convinced of inevitable failure, there are those couple you just can't help but be happy for, hoping they stay together forever.

Dax Shepard & Kristen Bell - He stars on NBC's hit drama "Parenthood" and she's currently starring in Showtime's "House of Lies." Together they're starring in a show we call "How Cute Are They?" Whether it's Kristen having an adorable meltdown over sloths, or it's Dax clowning around with Conan O'Brien on the late night host's show, there's something funny or cute or clever the two bring to the table like for instance, Bell saying that their children would be their gift to America. We just can't enough of these two!

Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew Broderick - If ever there was a couple that embodied "grown up" or "stable," it would have to be these two. Maybe it's the afterglow of that really great "Ferris Bueller" Super Bowl ad, but we just love both of these stars so much as individuals that you can't help but root for them as a couple! They stay out of the tabloids, and manage to keep much of their relationship under wraps, which in this day and age is virtually impossible.

Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi - Ellen's grace and humility in the recent uproar over her new role as celebrity spokesperson for JC Penney stores just helped further cement her place in our hearts. Add to that that her wife and partner Portia is both gorgeous and extremely funny (see her work in both "Ally McBeal" and "Arrested Development") and you have a couple that's easy to like. The pair announced last year that they plan to invest in and open a vegan restaurant together.

Sir Elton John & David Furnish - The fact that Furnish was so insulted by Madonna's win against his husband that he threw out a tirade against her on his Facebook page should make us cringe. Yet, it actually somehow endeared the couple to us even further. What makes us such a fan of Elton and David as a couple is that they don't appear to have any false pretenses about one another. To hear them speak to and of each other is to see two people who are in love, but who aren't afraid to show their human side either. It's easy to get a sense that they're not any different behind closed doors than they are in front of the cameras and the press.

Tim Burton & Helena Bonham Carter - If you look up "artistic" in the dictionary you're probably to find a picture of either of these two right next to the definition. Tim's the mind behind films like "Pee-wee's Big Adventure," "Big Fish," and "Edward Scissorhands." She's the exotic and beautiful actress who's unafraid to completely change herself to fit a role, no matter how dark or quirky or romantic. They were recently spotted taking their adorable children out for a little sledding in the snow, and it was clear from the pictures that behind the scenes the pair have a loving and happy household.
