4 Things to Know About 'Pitch Perfect' Star Rebel Wilson

    Rebel Wilson

"Pitch Perfect" actress Rebel Wilson is taking the world by storm with her offbeat comedy style and perfect timing. The blond Aussie has been acting for years, but we're only getting to know her now with her recent roles in movies like "Bridesmaids" and "Bachelorette."

We're predicting big things for Rebel, so we've put together a few things you need to know about this up-and-comer.

She Stopped Losing Weight for Hollywood

Most Hollywood actresses would do anything to stay slim, but Rebel stopped losing weight for a movie role. The blonde comedian signed on last year to lose poundage with Jenny Craig Australia, but she stopped losing in order to play Fat Amy in "Pitch Perfect."

Wilson's back to losing weight - and she recently showed off a 33 lb. weight loss. The actress - who once topped the scales at 234 lbs - now hovers around 200 lbs.

"I'm really feeling great now,' she wrote on Jenny Craig Australia's website. "I am actually having to donate some of my clothes that are now too big for me."

    She Can Sue You

Wilson might play delightfully clueless characters, but she's anything but clueless. The "Bachelorette" star is known for her love of math and she has a law degree. She told MovieLine that it was difficult to balance classes with her career, but she did get the piece of paper.

    So, how's it helped her?

"When I first started, I did negotiate a lot of my own contracts. People look at me and they see my funny, stupid characters and they have no idea," she told MovieLine. "Sometimes when I say yeah, I could practice as a lawyer if I wanted to, people are like, 'What? Who'd want you as a lawyer?'"

    We'd totally hire you, Rebel!

She's Roommates With Her 'Bridesmaids' Co-Star

Rebel and Matt Lucas play roommate siblings in the hit comedy "Bridesmaids" - and now they're living together in real life! The pair recently moved in to an apartment together, much to the chagrin of their neighbors. Wilson told Conan O'Brien that they received a threatening note from a neighbor.

"'Dear Neighbor, I am living somewhere behind you. I am glad you are enjoying your new pool and hot tub, but I am trying to sleep. I can hear everything you say -- even the British accents. If you continue to make noise past 10 p.m., I will call the cops. We have rules here in West Hollywood. Seriously," the letter read.

Have they stopped making noise? Nope!

Her Siblings Were On 'The Amazing Race'

Rebel grew up with three siblings with equally unique names: Liberty, Ryot and Annachi. Two of her siblings even competed on the Australian version of "The Amazing Race," but it didn't turn out so well.

"…We thought up all of this strategy, but they came in last," she told MovieLine, adding that her sister threw up on camera several times. "They said doing it is so different from watching it on TV. It's so hard. They get no sleep, no food, it was a really hard experience."

Is Rebel Wilson the next big female comic?
