3 Reasons Why Lindsay Lohan Will Be Great Hosting 'SNL'

    Actress Lindsay Lohan.

It would appear that Lindsay Lohan and her team are orchestrating a major comeback for the embattled young actress. In the wake her of her 2007 DUI conviction, Lindsay's personal and professional lives took big hits, and she seemed to be lost in the woods for awhile, culminating in having her parole revoked and the judge in her case setting extremely strict guidelines on the rest of her community service. Then there was the tell-all book her mother wanted to write, and the fact that as Lindsay's legal troubles were starting to settle back down, her father got arrested for his part in a domestic dispute.

But in December of last year, it was announced the LiLo would grace the pages of Playboy Magazine in a nude pictorial. A buzz was generated and issues with Lindsay in them flew off the shelves. Then Lohan's name was attached to a Lifetime movie about Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor, and the "Freaky Friday" star would be playing Liz herself. Now news is that Lindsay will be once again hosting "Saturday Night Live" on March 3rd, indicating that she's bounced back enough for producer Lorne Michaels to trust putting her on in front of a live audience as host of his perennial sketch comedy show.

We think Lindsay will do a great job hosting "SNL," and we came up with five reasons to back up our guess.

She's No Stranger to The Show - This is going to be Lohan's fourth time hosting the show. She's also done a few walk-on cameos over the years as well, and she's held her own quite nicely every time. In fact, her performance in previously hosted shows was pretty flawless for the most part, and she was often regarded as one of the better guest hosts in recent times, allowing herself to have fun with the sketches and seemingly actually try and deliver the material in a really funny way every time.

She's Actually Quite Funny - Or at least she's capable of performing funny material in very funny way. It was Lindsay who took former "SNL" head writer Tina Fey's script for "Mean Girls" and breathed real life in the central role, giving a really great performance that was as nuanced as it was funny. The girl knows how to get a laugh.

She Knows Needs The Show To Do Well - It cannot be understated how important it is at this stage for everything Lindsay does in the spotlight to be good. At the very least, Lindsay's own performance on "Saturday Night Live" needs to be perceived as good, and she needs to give full effort. Given how familiar she is with the show, perhaps that's why she and her team made the strategic decision to host again, hoping to once again catch lightning in the bottle.
