The Oscars is the biggest event in Hollywood and a night when style is vital, yet there were still some actresses who seemed to forget to look in the mirror before they left the house. You would think with an event such as this, there would be an exceptional amount of effort made to ensure that the entire look is flawless. Sadly, there's always a handful of ladies who manage to look a mess. Which celebs at the 2013 Oscars left much to be desired in the fashion department?
The "Real Housewives" star wore a BrandiB gown (yes, from her own collection), that had a neckline that exposed way too much cleavage. It was a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen. When you get invited to be a fashion correspondent to the event, you should probably make an effort to look the part. She's taking her new title of Worst Dressed in stride. The day after the Oscars, she tweeted "I made the worst dressed list for the Oscars! I made an Oscar list!!! #silverlinings"
Wearing a blush-colored strapless Reem Acra gown, the "Twilight" starlet didn't look her best. The gown wasn't properly tailored, the color washed her out and her hair looked like she stuck it out of a car window on her way to the event. It clearly wasn't a good night for her, as she accessorized with a pair of crutches thanks to cutting her foot badly on glass a couple days before.
The hysterical actress walked the red carpet in a gray David Meister gown that didn't flatter her at all. There's too much fabric, it wasn't tailored well and the draping just looked sloppy. The bouffant hairstyle also wasn't working for her. Better luck next year!
From the neck up, the Oscar nominee looked fabulous; then you look at the dress. The strapless navy blue H&M frock was not only ill-fitting, but it was horribly wrinkled and obviously never met a steamer. There's absolutely no excuse for that to happen at the Oscars, especially when you're nominated for an award.
What worst dressed list would be complete without the 46-year-old? She stepped out in a black, gray and white Vivienne Westwood gown and wore her hair in a disheveled updo. Maybe the actress just rolled out of bed right before she left for the event, but if she didn't, she certainly looked that way.
Oh Anne. The Oscar winner wore a pale pink Prada column gown that had a puckered seam on the bodice that accentuated the fact that she wasn't wearing a bra or pasties, As if that wasn't bad enough, the color - or lack thereof - completely washed her out.
The singer wore a Donna Karan Atelier structured gown that had a white bodice and a black skirt with a thigh-high slit and a long train. The cut of the dress was awful and the dangerously high slit just wasn't appropriate for the Oscars. The harsh tight, high bun also did her no favors.
Mark Ruffalo's wife failed with her strangely baggy gown that had a black bodice and a black-and-white striped skirt. It completely overwhelmed her fabulous figure. She also didn't pay much attention to the finishing touches as she completed the look with unflattering shoes, a bright blue clutch and a necklace that had no business with that type of top.
Who gets your vote for the worst dressed at the 2013 Oscars?
