There weren't too many green dresses at the 2013 Grammy Awards. Perhaps, stars figured they couldn't come close to J. Lo's green Versace dress that she wore to the 2000 Grammys with the new dress code in place and simply shied away from the hue. It's not an easy color to pull off, so who rocked their green dress on the red carpet and who should have chosen something completely different?
The "Part of Me" singer had everyone talking, not because of the design of her dress, but because of her ample assets that were easily visible through the keyhole neckline. She turned heads in a skin-tight mint Rafael Cennamo long-sleeve gown that had a substantial amount of embellishments above the keyhole neckline. Although she looked beautiful, the cleavage was a bit too much in this dress and the style would have benefited from having a little more fabric at the neckline. Regardless, Ellen Degeneres certainly didn't seem to mind it too much! Although Katy was nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance, she lost out to Adele.
The emerald green studded long-sleeve Givenchy gown that the singer wore resembled the skin of a dinosaur, so it wasn't a particularly flattering look. To make matters worse, her makeup and hair looked like she put zero effort into being presentable. It was certainly one of the worst looks of the evening. She, along with her band, were nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album, but they lost out in both categories.
Solange looked absolutely lovely walking the red carpet in an emerald green Ralph & Russo glittering gown. The dress had the potential to be completely bland and boring, but the thigh-high slit gave it the boost of sexiness that it needed, as did the bright coral studded pumps that she paired with the ensemble. The unkempt hair left a little to be desired, but she pulled it off.
Which of the green frocks from the Grammys is your favorite?
