Red was quite the popular color at the 2013 Golden Globes and not just because of the carpet. Many celebs showed off their fiery side in a red gown and while some looked fabulous, others clearly got some bad advice on their ensemble. It's not an easy color to pull off, so who walked the red carpet in gorgeous gowns and who should have went with something else?
The "New Girl" star, who was nominated for Best Actress in a Television Series, Comedy or Musical, looked stunning in an Oscar de la Renta gown that had a sweetheart neckline and a voluminous skirt. She's a fan of the style and it's no surprise why considering how well it suits her. Zooey finished off the look with a pearl necklace, pearl bracelet and a ponytail.
The new mom just had a baby on December 17 and it's incredible how amazing her body looked at the Golden Globes not even one month later. She made jaws drop as she walked the red carpet in a bright red halter Versace gown. Her hair was down for the occasion and she opted for no accessories. The beauty won an award for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama for her work in "Homeland."
At almost every significant awards show, there's always one dress that's extremely love/hate, and the red Christian Dior Couture gown that the star of "The Hunger Games" wore would be it. From the waist down and the neck up she looked fabulous and then you look at her bust. The strange design ruined the ensemble and made her breasts look pointed from one angle and saggy from another. Sadly, it wasn't a good look for the star. However, at least she walked away with an award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical for her work in "Silver Linings Playbook."
The beautiful blonde wore a deep red long-sleeve Zac Posen gown that had a keyhole neckline and a train attached at the back. Although she looked stunning, the gown would have been better if the train wasn't separate from the rest of the dress. On her arm for the evening was her boyfriend, Liev Schreiber.
The French stunner unfortunately didn't choose the best dress. The cut and design of the strapless Dior Haute Couture dress looked awkward and seemed more suited for a cocktail party than the Golden Globes. The whole head-to-toe look was also pretty boring and lacked a certain spark.
The actress wore a red strapless mermaid gown and apparently forgot to get it steamed before she walked the red carpet. Although the dress looked great on her, the wrinkles and creases in it completely take away from the style. She finished off the look with a metallic clutch.
Sound off! Who wore your favorite red dress at the 2012 Golden Globes?
