The 40th annual American Music Awards took place on November 18 and as excited as everyone was to see who walked away with an award, fashion was a huge focus at the event. Although several celebs attended looking fabulous, others should have left their outfit at home and went with something different - or burned that ensemble entirely. So which of music's brightest walked the red carpet at the AMAs in something less than flattering?
She's a gorgeous woman, but even with her great funky fashion sense, she doesn't always make the best fashion choices and her ensemble at the AMAs proved that. Despite her ridiculously toned physique, she opted for an oversized black embellished Balmain blazer that had a black bralet underneath. She finished off the look with black leather pants, black pumps and a long silver crucifix. At least her hair and makeup were on point.
Yet another beautiful woman who made an awful fashion choice. She wore a patchwork print Etro gown that had sheer net paneling in the front and sheer net sleeves. Her hair was pulled back and she kept her makeup natural. Although she looked beautiful, there's so much wrong with this dress it's hard to know where to start, so we'll just say the ugly print and leave it at that.
Rarely do we put the country crooner on a worst dressed list, but the metallic blue and black strapless dress she wore earned her a place. It was ruffled down the front on either side and belted around the middle. What possessed her to pick this dress, we have no idea. Fans got a good view of the frock when she stepped on stage to accept her award for Favorite Country Album.
Her bronze and black asymmetrical long sleeve dress just wasn't pretty at all. It looked like one side of her dress got caught in something and ripped off. To make matters worse, she wore black and bronze boots that matched the dress. Overall, just not a good look for someone capable of so much more.
Although peplum is hot in fashion right now, the Karmin songstress was a big miss in her sleeveless blue, white, black and orange peplum gown that had a strange print on it, a black band around the middle and a cutout panel in the front. To make it worse, it appears as though she didn't feel like doing her hair and just pinned it up any way it would stick.
Maybe the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" singer thought she was going to a grunge show, but she completely missed the mark in her strange half black leather, half red tartan ensemble. She finished off the look with black ripped tights and black shoes.
Which look from the 2012 AMAs is your least favorite?
