Although Eva Longoria co-hosted the 2012 Alma Awards with comedian George Lopez, she got much of the attention for her show-stopping ensembles that she wore throughout the night. She showed off a whopping nine gowns from the red carpet to the end of the ceremony and many fans have been debating over which was the best. So out of all nine ensembles, which one is your favorite?
Monique Lhuillier gown
On the red carpet, the former "Desperate Housewives" star stepped out in a black cap-sleeve Monique Lhuillier gown that had an embroidered neckline, a thigh-high slit and a leather band around the waist. Her hair was in an updo and she finished the look with black strappy heels. The dress is lovely, but it doesn't particularly wow us. And what was with her holding the slit open as she walked down the red carpet?
Alberta Ferretti gown
Her second look was a strapless black Alberta Ferretti gown that had sheer detailing down the bottom half of the dress. The gown is a bit tacky and the lack of accessories also makes it boring. It doesn't do her any favors at all.
Angel Sanchez gown
While up on stage, she wore a work of art also known as a red Angel Sanchez gown. The body-hugging gown had a slight train and a fabulous constructed bodice. Leave it to the 37-year-old to be able to pull off a gown of this style and completely rock it.
Carlos Miele gown
She strutted the stage wearing a gold satin Carlos Miele gown that had a criss-cross design on the bodice and daring thigh-high slits. While the bodice provides interesting detailing, the slits are way too much, especially when both are combined together.
White halter gown
While on stage with Lopez, the beauty wore a white halter gown that had a slit neckline. She finished off the look with several bracelets, jeweled earrings and a half-up, half-down hairstyle. We're not jumping up and down over this gown, but she still looks fantastic.
Orange gown
At one point during the night, Eva wore a long-sleeve orange gown that she accessorized with a wide gold choker. This gown leaves us wanting more. It's too bland even with the fabulous choker and it didn't seem to be tailored very well on the bottom.
Gray dress
In her least attractive look of the evening, she walked arm-in-arm with Lopez while wearing a hideous dove gray dress that had a nude skirt, cutout detailing at the sides, a long, flowing tulle overlay and a sweetheart neckline. Considering her usually fabulous style, we're surprised she went with something like this.
Emilio Pucci gown
The pint-sized actress wore a gorgeous charcoal gray long-sleeve Emilio Pucci gown that had strategically placed slashed detailing down the front which was accented with silver embellishments. She wore her hair up for this outfit change. It's one of our favorite looks from the evening.
Magenta gown
The Mexican stunner also donned a strapless magenta gown that had a flowing train and feather detailing at the neckline. If it wasn't for that silly detailing at the neckline, it would have been a beautiful look. At least the color and fit was gorgeous on her.
What are your picks for the best and worst gowns of the bunch?
