NBC Pulls Plug On 'Journeyman'

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (December 12, 2007) It appears the next jump for NBC's "Journeyman" is into retirement.

NBC has pulled the plug on its sci-fi drama, the network announced on Tuesday.

NBC had until Tuesday to give a full-season pickup to the time-travelling drama, starring Kevin McKidd, but when that deadline came and went without a commitment, it all but sealed the show's fate.

There are two remaining episodes, which will still air as scheduled, an NBC rep told Access Hollywood. The episodes will air on December 17 and 19 at 10PM.

While the end has come for "Journeyman," NBC recently gave full-season pickups to two other freshman shows, "Chuck" and "Life."

That leaves its fourth first-year series, "Bionic Woman," as the only new show still in limbo.

However, NBC wasn't the only network busy axing shows from the schedule this week. On Tuesday, ABC announced they had pulled the last three episodes of "Big Shots" from its schedule.

The freshman dramedy, starring Michael Vartan, Dylan McDermott, Christopher Titus and Joshua Malina, was benched from the schedule. However, due to the writer's strike and the lack of original scripted shows the networks are facing, ABC plans to air the three remaining episodes (two original and one a repeat) in January.

That really does stink! Journeyman was really an original and unique twist on Quantum Leap. Hopefully, tv execs take a look at what fans want and reconsider putting this show back on the schedule. Not all of us want to see reality tv: biggest loser, trump, etc. and don't even get me started on "worn out soap opera" same show over and over again: ER.

NBC.... You suck. Journeyman is the best show on tv. Jeff Zucker (President & CEO), have you watched the rest of the garbage on your channel? Because if you did, you would realize that you're getting rid of a good one... the only good one. What are you going to replace it with? More Reality Garbage?

NBC you wouldn't know a good show if it bit you in the ***! Bionic Woman totally wipes the bottom of the barrel.... Chuck, kinda slap stickish I think. So not worth watching.

That so makes me mad!!! I LOVE that show!!! I was having trouble finding something good to watch after the kids go to bed, I find one, and NBC takes it off. Well, if it was not for the Law & Orders, I would NEVER watch NBC again.

This is disappointing. I would stream this show every week. I will miss it. Chuck started out started out badly but seems to be picking up speed. Bionic woman should be cancelled. She is not Lindsay's equal or even close. They should have left the deaf sister in the plot. My new show line up is: CSI, Pushing daisies, Samantha Who,Hereos, COPS. Love COPS!
