Mischa Barton Set To Dish On 'Gossip Girl'

The Mischa Barton "Gossip" you heard is true!

The former "OC" actress is set to join the cast of "Gossip Girl," according to TVGuide.com.

No word yet who Mischa will play on the CW dish-slinging drama, but TVGuide.com hints Mischa could be considered for the role of Georgina Sparks, a scheming diva who drags Serena's skeletons out of her plaid skirt-filled closet.

"Gossip Girl" will mark the second Josh Schwartz-created show for Mischa, after the two previously worked together on "The OC." Schwartz famously killed off Mischa's character, Marissa, in an emotionally charged and explosive car crash in a third season cliffhanger, ending Mischa's time in Newport Beach.
