Madonna Talks Collaborating With Justin Timberlake, Kanye West
By Access HollywoodMarch 7, 2008, 9:20 am PSTMadonna has revealed that she and Justin Timberlake got close while while working on tracks for her April 29 due album, "Hard Candy."
"We had psychoanalytic sessions whenever we wrote songs," Madonna told Interview magazine's April issue. "We'd sit down and we'd start talking about situations. And then we'd start talking about issues or problems or relationships with people. That was the only way, because… writing together with somebody is very intimate. So we had to find a place to start talking about something we cared about."

"I haven't worked with a lot of songwriters where I'm instantly connected and start riffing and playing with the rhythm of the words," she continued. "He's as interested in the rhythm of words as the meaning of words."
Timberlake and super producer Timbaland are both featured on "Four Minutes," the first single from Madonna's new album.

She told Interview, the song is a wake up call.
"It's kind of a funny paradox," she said. "It's like we're saying, 'We're running out of time. People, wake up.' But if we are going to save the world, can we please have a good time while we're doing it.'"
Madonna also spoke about working with Kanye West, who is featured on a cut titled, "Beat Goes On."
"There was a big sense of urgency [with that song]," she said. "Kanye only had four hours. I had to finish it before he had to catch an airplane. But you know what? Right now, I'm operating in the mode of 'live every day like it's your last day.' So there's a sense of urgency in everything I do."

Madonna also spoke with Interview about David, the son she adopted from Malawi.
"I promise you, he wouldn't have lived if I hadn't taken him," she told the magazine. "It's not even a possibility."
