NEW YORK, NY -- Liv Tyler and her husband, British rocker Royston Langdon, have separated.

"Liv Tyler and Royston Langdon have confirmed their separation," a rep for the stars told Us Weekly. "They remain good friends and devoted parents to their son Milo and are requesting that their family's privacy be respected at this time."

Liv married the former Spacehog front man five years ago.

Us Weekly recently reported a source claimed to have overheard the upcoming star of "The Incredible Hulk" discussing her marriage over the phone.

"In the conversation, she complained about her husband being a 'leach' on her assets, and she said she got married too young," the source told the magazine.

Marriage is for life, if you go into it. Unless you're married to a serial-killer or pedo or something. That's the whole point. It's not just until you get tired of your spouse because someone else is prettier, makes more money, better in bed, etc. If people follow their instincts, no one can trust anyone, and society will crumble...
