Judge Declares Dannielynn As Anna Nicole's Sole Heir

A Los Angeles judge named Anna Nicole Smith's 18-month-old daughter, Dannielynn, the sole heir to her estate on Tuesday, according to City News Service.

Back in October, Howard K. Stern filed papers with Los Angeles Superior Court seeking to clarify Smith's intentions in her July 2001 will, which was written five years before Dannielynn was born.

"We and Mr. Stern always believed that Anna Nicole never intended to disinherit her daughter," Stern's lawyer, Bruce S. Ross, told reporters after the hearing on Tuesday. "I'm pleased to say this chapter in the saga is closed."

In addition, Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff also established a trust on Dannielynn's behalf, with Stern and her father, Larry Birkhead, as the co-trustees.

Under the ruling, little Dannielynn could stand to inherit millions of dollars from the estate of Smith's second husband, billionaire J. Howard Marshall.

Although Marshall left much of his fortune to Smith, his family has been fighting that decision.

When Smith drafted her will in 2001, it stated that "although she did not expect to have any children in the future, if she did, she wanted them to share equally in the trust created for [her son] Daniel."

Daniel Smith died three days after Dannielynn's birth in September 2006. He was 20.

Neither Stern nor Birkhead were present in court today on Tuesday, according to CNS.
