LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Cameron Diaz received some support from her friends, including ex-boyfriends, Justin Timberlake and John Mayer on Sunday, as the actress and her family held a memorial service for her father, Emilio.

The service was held at Mahe in Seal Beach, in Orange County, California.

According to People, most of the guests arrived to the celebratory memorial in non-traditional attire.

"Hardly [anyone] wore black. Lots of people were wearing Hawaiian shirts. It looked more like a party," a source told People.

Inside the event, attended by friends and family, people could be heard chanting Emilio's name.

Timberlake and Mayer arrived to the event separately, and both stayed until most people started leaving around 4 PM.

Prior to the conclusion of the ceremony, Cameron spoke about her father to the group, People reported.

Over the weekend, a rep for the Diaz family told Access Hollywood that in lieu of flowers, the family was asking donations be made to Surfrider.org or Reefcheck.org in Emilio's name.

Both organizations are non-profits, dedicated to oceanic conservation.

Following her father's death, Cameron released the following statement to Access Hollywood:

"My mom, sister and I are deeply appreciative of the overwhelming outpouring of love and support during this difficult time for us and all of our family. My dad was loved by so many people and his humor and spirit will always live on in our hearts."

That's really sweet that Justin and John still remain close with Cameron, especially Justin. Being there for her through this hard time is a really nice thing for them to do!

I will miss Amilio a lot. I played golf with him every Sunday at a small 9 hole in Long Beach. When I showed up in an Hawaian Shirt he would always comment: (Dewey its either in or out ) meaning the shirt tails. We always exchanged cigars with each other. A great friend and Gentlemen Aloha
