Jessica Simpson & John Mayer Call It Quits, Again

LOS ANGELES (June 5, 2007) -- After weeks of a rumored rift, Jessica Simpson and John Mayer have officially called it quits, according to PEOPLE magazine. "It has been rocky and it had been rocky, and it reached the end of the road," a source close to Mayer told PEOPLE. "It is definitely over - the relationship has ended." And while folks on Jess' side of the fence also confirmed the split, they claim the door is always open for reconciliation. "They broke up Sunday night, but who knows what the future will hold," a Simpson source told PEOPLE. "This is the twelfth time they've broken up. Their relationship is volatile. Last week they felt better than ever. This week, things are rocky. Who knows what the future will bring." Simpson, 26, and Mayer, 29, were first rumored to be dating back in August 2006, although both have long played coy with the press over their relationship. When Access Hollywood caught up with Jessica overseas at the Cannes Film Festival, we asked her about the report of a rocky romance. "Are you and John still friends?" Access asked her. "I'm going to keep my private life private, but I am very happy," she said. So what caused the final split? "Every relationship has its differences, but with Jessica and John those differences were starting to become more and more apparent," a source for Mayer told PEOPLE.

  • Thank god John finally woke up and seen the light now he knows how Nick propbably felt during his marriage to Jessica. Jessica is a self cnetered spoiled daddy's girl and is now 27 years old please do us all a favor and grow up. If you were smart you would have tried to work on your marriage if it was in that much trouble instead of terminating it based on a stupid movie. Who does that %@!*#?
