Janice Dickinson: 'Tyra Banks Is Fat!'

Janice remarked on Tyra's size while talking with Al Roker on the "Today" show in an appearance to promote the third series of her television show, "The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency."

Janice was prompted into making the remark, which she later claimed was a joke, when Roker asked her what she thought of the body image debate surrounding Jennifer Love Hewitt.
Hewitt was captured by paparazzi in Hawaii in recent weeks in a bikini, prompting some Web sites to comment on her physique.
"Jennifer Love Hewitt is healthy, not emaciated, woman," Janice said in defense of the "Ghost Whisperer" star. "She's a healthy girl and these are unflattering camera angles on her. You wanna see someone [who's] fat? I'm sorry, Tyra, Tyra Banks is fat. This girl is not fat."

Al quickly asked Janice why she would make such a comment about Tyra and Janice replied "Well she is," before quickly changing her tune.
"I'm kidding 'cause I love Miss Banks," she said. "[My remark was] off the cuff, but there's a controversy to build up your show by selling fat one week and thin the other. In the modeling industry, yes you have to be thin."
