Ivanka Trump

While being born into high society certainly had its privileges, Ivanka Trump proved that she had the business acumen and fashion-forward thinking to successfully run her own beauty empire. The daughter of American business mogul Donald Trump and Czech socialite Ivana Trump, Ivanka Marie Trump was born on Oct. 30, 1981 in New York City. She attended Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, CT before graduating summa cum laude from the Wharton School of Business in 2004 with an economics degree. Thanks to her lineage and business skills, Trump was a natural in her position as Executive Vice President of Development and Acquisition at the Trump Organization. As a stunning fashion model, she walked the runways for high-end designers like Versace and graced the covers of magazines such as Harper's Bazaar and Seventeen. Trump launched a jewelry line in 2007, and expanded the brand into shoes, handbags, and fragrance collections. Television provided yet another outlet for Trump, who hosted the "15th Annual Miss Teen USA Pageant" (CBS, 1997), which her father partially owned, and appeared on shows like "Project Runway" (Bravo, 2004-08; Lifetime Television, 2008- ), as a guest judge. Most importantly, Trump regularly appeared on the reality competition show "The Apprentice" (NBC, 2004- ), as one of the mentors alongside her father, who often offered some of the most unapologetic yet constructive criticisms for the contestants. In 2009, she made her publishing debut with the book The Trump Card: Playing to Win in Work and Life.
