Heidi Montag Talks Spencer Pratt's 'Betrayal'
By Access HollywoodMarch 7, 2008, 5:19 pm PSTOn March 24, MTV's "The Hills" returns to television screens and there is some emotional drama in store for fans of embattled couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.
As fans of the reality show will know, last season Heidi called off her wedding to Spencer. Now, a new interview with Us magazine has fans asking if infidelity played a role in that decision.

"While I can't get into specifics about what happened, there was definitely an emotional betrayal with another woman," Heidi told the magazine. "I've definitely been betrayed by friends before, but I've never had a boyfriend do this to me."
Though Heidi declined to fully explain what happened - the couple stress in the cover story that fans should watch the show - she suggests Spencer may have cheated on her.

"Anytime someone you love betrays you, it's hard. Especially when it's someone that you're close with, someone who you love," Heidi said.
Heidi met Spencer when she was still best friends with fellow "Hills" star Lauren "LC" Conrad, formerly of MTV reality show "Laguna Beach."
Spencer was best pals with Brody Jenner, with whom LC has had an on again / off again relationship.
Heidi and Spencer are still together (though she and LC are no longer pals) and the blonde wannabe pop singer has said that working through what she considers to be a "betrayal" by her blonde beau, has made them closer.

"It shows you what kind of person you're with," she explained. "You see through things right away. You can't pretend your relationship is something else. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I think it's helped us grow as people and as a couple."
Spencer is currently Heidi's manager, but they both live their lives in the public eye.

Heidi told Us Weekly that as celebrities, they model themselves after a British pair.
"The Beckhams," she said. "They have their careers and, at the same time, they're being super-mom and dad."
