Britney Was Never Scheduled To Perform At Rockefeller Center Tree-Lighting

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. -- Despite a rousing performance on "Good Morning America" of her hit single, "Womanizer," and online reports that Britney Spears had pulled out of a scheduled live performance for the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree-lighting ceremony, Access Hollywood has learned that the pop star was never scheduled to perform live.

A NBC source told Access Hollywood that Britney was never due to perform at the festive holiday event. Instead Britney pre-taped an appearance for the NBC special, which takes place tonight.

Miley Cyrus To Spend 'Christmas In Rockefeller'

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Miley Cyrus is heading to the big apple for the holidays.

The tween star is set to join NBC's 11th annual "Christmas In Rockefeller Center" on Wednesday, December 3, with previously announced guests including Stephen Colbert, the Jonas Brothers, Tony Bennett, Faith Hill and even Kermit the Frog.
