LONDON, UK -- Songstress Leona Lewis is speaking out after being attacked by a fan during a book signing in London on Wednesday.
"Yesterday was a horrible shock and left me extremely hurt and upset," Lewis wrote in a message on her Web site on Thursday. "I'm very sorry to those I wasn't able to meet at the signing."

LONDON, UK -- Leona Lewis was attacked at a book signing in London on Wednesday afternoon, a Scotland Yard spokesperson confirmed to Access Hollywood.
The "Bleeding Love" singer, who was signing copies of her new autobiography, "Dreams," was slapped at Waterstone's bookstore in Piccadilly.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Simon Cowell's "The X Factor" is America-bound, according to a new report.
Britain's Daily Mirror reported that television's Mr. Nasty is bringing his U.K. reality competition stateside in a deal with FOX worth an alleged $103 million.
Last week, The Hollywood Reporter claimed Simon and FOX were "hammering out a deal" to launch the show responsible for introducing Leona Lewis to America and the Mirror claims it is now a reality.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Simon Cowell may appear confident as he sits behind the judge's booth on "American Idol," but he revealed he has some very dark times.
In a letter to his "shallow, reckless, cocky younger self," to celebrate his upcoming 50th birthday on October 7, Simon revealed he suffers from "black moods."
"Sometimes, when friends are over, you want to ask them to leave. You get hit by black moods and you want to be alone," he writes in the lengthy letter, printed in the U.K.'s Daily Mail on Monday.
