MALIBU, Calif. -- Redmond O'Neal, the troubled son of actor Ryan O'Neal, pleaded not guilty to felony and misdemeanor drug charges on Wednesday in a Malibu, Calif., courthouse.
The charges stem from a September 17 incident, when Redmond, 24, and Ryan, 67, were arrested at the actor's home in Malibu.

The 67-year-old received 18 months deferred entry to a judgment program. A deferred entry of judgment requires O'Neal to successfully complete a drug treatment program. Once the drug program is completed, O'Neal's charge will be dismissed.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Ryan O'Neal and his son, Redmond, have been charged with felony drug possession, in connection with their arrests in Malibu last month.
The Malibu District Attorney's Office confirmed to Access that the actor, 67, has been charged with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.
