CHICAGO, Ill. -- Portia de Rossi has opened up about falling in love with TV talk show queen and comedienne, Ellen DeGeneres.

Joining her wife on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on Monday, Portia revealed she fell for Ellen from the first time she "laid eyes on her," but turning that into a relationship - one which eventually blossomed into a marriage in 2008 - took some time.

Ellen On Marriage To Portia: 'I'm Happier Than I've Ever Been'

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- It's been 20 years since the Indigo Girls broke through to the mainstream with their seminal trademark Grammy-winning song, "Closer To Fine." Since then, the Georgia duo has produced 10 major label studio albums and toured the country multiple times for an entire generation of music lovers who have been drawn to their unique supplementary harmonies.

Like many major artists with their vast experience, now that they've finished their label contract, they've gone independent (again, in their case!) with their newly-formed IG Recordings. Their new double-disc album, "Poseidon and the Bitter Bug," came out last week, and they launch a tour this weekend, kicking things off at the Dinah Shore Weekend in Palm Springs.

I caught up with half of the duo, ethereal-vocalist Emily Saliers, to discuss the new album, the state of gay marriage rights, long-term relationships and... Katy Perry.

Portia De Rossi Slams IVF Rumors, Talks Upcoming 'Ellen' Appearance

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Portia de Rossi says she is not having in vitro fertilization in an attempt to get pregnant.

"There's a story around right now about me that could not be further from the truth," Portia told AccessHollywood.com's Laura Saltman on the set of "Better Off Ted," her new ABC comedy, which premieres March 18.
