'Gossip Girl' Guys On Cougars, Attacking Grannies & Overcoming 'Gayface'

NEW YORK, New York -- From Dan and Serena's break-up... to Chuck's hot pursuit of Blair... to Nate's cougar woes, the guys of "Gossip Girl" haven't had it easy on the CW show's second season - but the actors who play them tell Details magazine that being real-life stars, well.... it's going a little better.
"To do what we do? Sometimes I feel like we're cheating the rest of the world," Penn Badgley, who plays Dan, told the mag for their November issue.

'Gossip Girl' Star: '90210' Girls Should 'Eat A Double Cheeseburger'

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Forget Dylan being revealed as the father of Kelly Taylor's baby on the new "90210" - the topic that's got Hollywood buzzing is whether or not the new CW show's young female stars are too thin.
Much has been made recently over the appearances of several of the "90210" stars, including leading ladies Shenae Grimes and Jessica Stroup.
A new Us Weekly article even went as far to say some of the show's male stars are showing concern for their co-stars.
And now, "Gossip Girl" star Penn Badgley is also weighing in on the topic.

'Gossip Girl' Stars Speak Out On Racy Ads, 'Rabid' Fans
Access Hollywood - August 4, 2008, 4:28 pm PDTLOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The "Gossip Girl" gang took the Teen Choice Awards by storm on Sunday night, picking up six surfboards - including wins for Choice Breakout Star Female (Blake Lively) and Male (Chace Crawford) and Choice TV Villain (Ed Westwick).
After receiving their new hardware, the cast had a lot to say before celebrating, as they opened up to Access Hollywood about the critical controversy over "Gossip Girl" and its racy new ads.
"We were surprised at how rabid the fans were," Penn Badgley told Access of the show's sudden popularity. "It's been a crazy experience. It continues to get crazier."
