LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Natalie Cole underwent a kidney transplant on Monday, Access Hollywood has learned.
A rep for the singer told Access that the 59-year-old is resting comfortably following her surgery at Cedars- Sinai Medical Center in LA.

The legendary songstress was hospitalized last month after falling ill due to the effects of chemotherapy, which was being used to combat liver disease from Hepatitis C.
But after two weeks in the hospital, Cole is finally back home -- however, her treatment continues.
