LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- It'll be "comforting" for Christina Applegate to participate in next month's "Stand Up To Cancer" telethon, show producer Laura Ziskin told People.
The "Samantha Who?" star announced on Saturday that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
"To be on the show and to hear other people, it's comforting to be around other people who've been through it," said Ziskin, a breast cancer survivor herself, who has production credits for the "Spider-Man" films and the Oscars.
