ATLANTA, Ga. -- Just two weeks into the new series "Drop Dead Diva," Lifetime has a hit on its hands. Actually, they have two.
There's the spirited comedic drama about a shallow, but not unkind model - Deb -- who dies in a tragic car accident and fleeces one of Heaven's office assistants to rejoin life, just not in the body she expected. And then there's Brooke Elliott, the beautiful series star, who plays the model, whose new life is enhanced by the brimming brain of her host's body -- legal whiz Jane Bingum -- and the lawyer's size 16 figure.

Paula Abdul Signs On To Play Judge On New Lifetime Show

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Paula Abdul will mix her real life with fiction as she guest stars in a new drama for Lifetime.
Access Hollywood has confirmed the "American Idol" judge will play a fictionalized version of herself on Lifetime's upcoming drama series, "Drop Dead Diva."

Celebs Join Nationwide Protest Against Prop. 8

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- T.R. Knight, Ricki Lake and Broadway star Marissa Jaret Winokur were among the dozens of celebrities who joined the nationwide fight against California's Proposition 8 at a rally in downtown LA on Saturday, according to an Access Hollywood staffer in attendance.
