Lil' Wayne Misses Fashion Rocks Over A Bag
Access Hollywood - September 9, 2008 4:24 PM PDTNEW YORK, NY -- Lil' Wayne missed out on performing at the Fashion Rocks show in New York City this past weekend, and according to the New York Post's Page Six, it was the rapper's bag which led to his absence.
A senior production person involved with Fashion Rocks told Page Six that Lil' Wayne would not go through the mandatory security check to gain entrance in to the show.

Michael Phelps To Make 'Video Music Awards,' 'Saturday Night Live' Golden

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Michael Phelps has already brought home the gold - now he's bringing it to TV. The record-breaking Olympic swimming champ will host the season premiere of NBC's "Saturday Night Live" on Sept. 13 and make an appearance on MTV's "Video Music Awards" on Sept. 7, Access Hollywood has learned.
Sources close to MTV confirmed to Access that Michael Phelps would be involved in this year's "VMAs," though there's no word yet on what he'll do on the show.
On "SNL," host Phelps will make his acting debut, according to a statement released to Access. He'll be appearing alongside one of his favorites, musical guest Lil Wayne.

A year after her controversial performance at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards, the pop star has been nominated for Best Female Video for "Piece of Me" at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, MTV announced on Friday.
