Chace Crawford Talks His New 'Gossip Girl' Love, 'Footloose' Footwork

NEW YORK, New York -- When viewers last saw Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) in the season finale of "Gossip Girl," he was heading off to Europe with ex Vanessa Abrams (Jessica Szorh) after splitting with Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) yet again - but the actor told Access Hollywood on Thursday he'll have a new love interest this fall.
"She's a beautiful southern girl," Chace said of his character's new romance, played by "Privileged" star Joanna Garcia.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Chace Crawford may be stepping into Kevin Bacon's dancing shoes in the upcoming "Footloose" remake, but the original star said he's ready for him to cut in.
"It's cool, yeah," Kevin told Access Hollywood. "It was a little bit surprising to me just because I don't wake up in the morning and look at myself as someone [who] it's time to remake his old movies, you know what I mean?"

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- First Chace Crawford had to convince the producers of the "Footloose" reboot that he was the right guy for the role after Zac Efron left, but he probably wasn't counting on having to impress the wife of Kevin Bacon.
Despite taking over the role that Kevin made famous in the 1984 version, Kyra Sedgwick told People she's excited for the young star's take on the iconic character.

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Kevin Bacon is in the market for a new phone after his Blackberry was reportedly swiped by a thief in a New York City subway station.
According to The New York Post's Page Six, Bacon's BlackBerry was allegedly stolen at the B, D and E station at 53rd Street and Seventh Avenue in Manhattan at 10:50 AM on Thursday.
