Access Hollywood - March 11, 2009 2:42 PM PDTLOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The first photos have emerged from the new "Gossip Girl" spin-off, and it appears the prequel to the juicy CW hit series will be just as fabulous as its east coast counterpart.
Sporting a pink and green Argyle sweater, blazer and riding boots, Brittany Snow - who plays a young Lily Rhodes (mother of "Gossip's" Serena van der Woodsen) - filmed a scene for the new series on Tuesday near the Neptune Restaurant in Malibu.

Krysten Ritter has been cast to play Carol Rhodes - the older sister of Lily van der Woodsen aka Lily Rhodes in the new prequel series, a rep for The CW confirmed to Access Hollywood.
