LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Christina Applegate was radiant on the Emmy red carpet earlier this month, but it was just 18-months ago when the actress was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy.

And in a new interview with Access Hollywood's Laura Saltman, Christina shed new light on the decision that saved her life.

Paula Abdul To Rejoin 'So You Think You Can Dance?'

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Paula Abdul may make an appearance after all on "So You Think You Can Dance?," her former boss, ex-"American Idol" producer Nigel Lythgoe, Tweeted on Friday.

"I saw Paula @ the 'Power of Women' event yesterday. I asked her to come on SYTYCD again and she said she would. I hope she means it?" Nigel, a producer and judge on the show, Tweeted.

Christina Applegate Leads Charge In Auction Benefiting Breast Cancer Awareness

Merriam, KS -- Actors, musicians, and athletes have designed and autographed one-of-a-kind "I Love..." T-shirts to be auctioned off to benefit Christina Applegate's foundation, Right Action for Women, in support of Lee National Denim Day on October 2, one of the largest single day fundraisers for breast cancer in the nation.
