Harold Ramis: 'Ghostbusters 3' Will Be A Passing Of The Baton To New Generation

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Harold Ramis, along with "Year One" screenwriters Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, who also write for NBC's "The Office," are hard at work on the first draft of the screenplay for "Ghostbusters 3."

But the actor/director/writer told Access Hollywood the movie - which is slated to introduce a whole new generation of Ghostbusters - will only be made if the script is good.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The "Ghostbusters" gang is getting ready to strap on their proton packs once more - with some new recruits.

A long-awaited third film in the series "could be in production by winter," Dan Aykroyd, the star and co-writer of "Ghostbusters"' first two installments, told the LA Times, adding that he hopes stars such as Alyssa Milano and Eliza Dushku sign on to join the ghost-fighting team's second-generation squad.

Bill Murray Prepping His Proton Pack For 'Ghostbusters 3?'

AUSTIN, Texas -- Bill Murray has made audiences laugh in dozens of films over his three-decade-plus career, but he says one stands above the rest.

"I think the first 45 minutes of 'Ghostbusters' were about as funny as a movie gets," he told an audience at the Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, on Thursday. "We didn't have a lot of special effects then, just a couple. It was just the funny characters in that world."
