Britney Spears Pulled Over By Highway Patrol

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 25, 2007) â" Britney Spears may be giving new meaning to life in the fast lane.

Sporting a blonde wig and brown hat, Britney was pulled over in her white Mercedes convertible for speeding, according to X-17 Online.

According to the report, Brit was headed east on Interstate 10 around 12:30 a.m. with two male dancers in the car when Highway Patrol attempted to pull the car over.

However, according to reports, despite the officer pulling up directly behind Spears with his lights on, she continued driving for nearly a mile before finally pulling off the highway and stopping at a gas station.

Once she pulled over, Britney was reportedly extremely cooperative with authorities and after a brief conversation, she was let off with a warning.

According to X-17, Britney told the officers she was speeding because she was being chased by the paparazzi.

After the officers left, one of Britney's passengers took the wheel and the car headed back towards Los Angeles, according to X-17.

In other Britney news, on Friday a source close to the MTV VMAs told Access Hollywood there is "a very strong chance" Britney will open the awards show at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on September 9.

The best way to make these irresponsible talentless celebrity pigs suffer such as Britney and Paris is dont even acknowledge them AT ALL!!! They thrive on ANY publicity whether its good or bad, as long as thier names stay in the news and in the tabloids they continue to stay rich, and continue to get away with sh*t. if thier fame status dwindled away im sure thier penalties would be more severe.

She's a has been who has to get attention somehow.The real issue here is her children growing up without their real mother, who isn't smart enough to grasp the basic fact that she is a mother. She and Paris should get together and start a club and call it "waste of life".

That's what has come to with her and her %@!*#y buds Nichole, Paris, and Lindsay....just let them go on their merry lawless way from the git go. Who cares if they were DUI, fleeing while trying to make up their mind to even stop for these pesky police, driving with their kids in their laps....Just let them go after you see their ID.
