LOS ANGELES (June 6, 2007) -- From Oprah to George Clooney, Brad to Presidential hopeful Barack Obama, magazine Vanity Fair makes history in the current issue offering twenty different covers with over twenty different celebrities, but all with one thing in common Africa.
It was an easy job for one of the VF cover stars, Madonna, but famed photographer Annie Leibovitz had a tougher time. It took six weeks to shoot everyone singled out for their do-good work in Africa.
U2 front man and Africa crusader Bono served as guest editor. He said rounding up all these heavy hitters, wasnt tough.
Its like what do all these people have in common? They dont but one thing they do [share] is their passion for Africa and they believe the problems of Africa can be solved, he said.
Thats what this issue of Vanity Fair is all about to bring some sex appeal to the idea of wanting to change the world, he added.
