Bobby Brown On Going Country & Whitney Houston

By Access HollywoodFebruary 29, 2008, 5:06 pm PST

R&B singer Bobby Brown has "Gone Country" on the CMT reality show of the same name, but as Access Hollywood's Tony Potts learned, Bobby's thoughts are never far from ex-wife Whitney Houston.

"Do you think there is the opportunity for her - can she come back?" Tony asked.

"Oh, of course. She has the greatest voice probably on the face of this earth," Bobby said.

Warm words of encouragement from Whitney's ex, Bobby, who's adamant she never went away.

"You can't call that a comeback… she is the diva of all divas, you know, she is Whitney Houston," Bobby said.

"What was it about her that attracted you to her?" Tony asked Bobby.

"Probably just the whole package. She is a great girl, wonderful singer and she can be friendly at times," Bobby laughed.

And he left it at that. Bobby revealed he has moved on from his 14-year marriage, which was plagued by addiction and Bobby's two stints in jail, not to mention an extensive collection of mug shots acquired from his eight arrests.

"How have you been able to reconcile everything that you guys went through and how tough was it Bobby?" Tony asked.

"It was pretty tough after 14 years of marriage," Bobby said. "It would be tough on anybody, you know, but we have a great daughter and we are really cool friends. We talk you know, but it is what it is and people must move on."

Whitney maintains sole custody of their daughter Bobbi Kristina. And Bobby sees in her the potential for superstardom.

"I will be driving in the car and she will be singing something and it's just like [stunning] to hear this voice come out of my child. It's amazing," Bobby said.

As for Bobby's own singing, you can hear it on CMT's reality show, "Gone Country." He hopes this reemergence into the spotlight will help to shed his bad boy image.

"What do you think the biggest misconception by the public is about you as we stand in 2008?" Tony asked.

"[It is] that I am some bad guy that starts fights and drives without a license and mainly start fights. I don't start them but I will finish them," Bobby answered.

like b said, 'it is what it is'. i think itz great that he and whitney r adult enough to not point fingers at each other about where they both fell off. truth be told, her family was already gracing the media with stories of their drug addiction before bobby even got a chance to be in her presence. bobby didn't drag whtiney down...whitney let herself go! good to see her
