Quoting the Famous: Brad Pitt Will Ease Your Pain

Han Myung-Gu/WireImageDuring a Q&A with Brad "Happiness Is Overrated" Pitt after a screening of "Moneyball," a man in the audience confessed he'd been contemplating suicide but felt renewed hope because of the film. Pitt's response, via DListed:

Look, man, life is up and down, it's a vicious cycle, but you have to go through it and deal with that. You can be down, but then you come back up again, and every failure can lead to success.

If this Sexiest Actor Alive thing doesn't work out, Pitt has a second career as a life coach.

And of coarse my favorite Brad Pitt quote of all time:
Being married means I can break wind and eat ice cream in bed.

It's true we all have our ups and downs, and what Brad Pitt said to the other guy really was a good thing to say to him. The problem is that everyone has their own unique ups and downs. When we know our life is permanently messed up a few encouraging words might help at the time, but for some of us suicidal thinking is a life long thing until we either commit suicide or die some other way. Either way death comes upon us all and the only one that can change that is God, since he is the source of life. We are living in a difficult world, that's why there are actually twice as many suicides as homicides. People are suffering a lot of pain. Many people do not see any way to get free from their pain other than death and they may battle with the idea of suicide until they decide either to commit suicide or continue battling with the pain until something else claims their life, either way death eventually comes upon us all.

committing suicide is very sad- wanting to be happy again when your feeling so down and lost- if you take your life you'll never be able to see the happy you want to be- make tough changes after being so low theres only up to go ;-)

I watched MoneyBall, and I wanted to commit suicide afterwards.........terrible movie and terrible acting. Brad Pitt is so over rated as an actor. His wife is much better and much hotter too..lol

Wow, if I was despairing and suicidal, that would not help me in the least! But at least BP tried huh? My heart goes out to all people who feel such despair. :( I've been there..

Truth Hurts the truth hurts...you can't spell! There's this nifty little thing called a dictionary that might help you. Your condemnation of a man who has probably done more to help his fellow man than you ever will is sad and a clear indication of your lack of intelligence.

Nice words, but was the guy really that suicidal....what was he doing there? Nice words anyway. Brad can probably relate, he seems down these days.
