Justin Bieber Will Take DNA Test To Prove He Did Not Get Mariah Yeater Pregnant
The best way to silence pervasive baby daddy rumors? Take a DNA test, and announce the results publicly. That's how Justin Bieber intends to approach the first major scandal to mar his squeaky-clean teen dream reputation: in two weeks, the pop idol will voluntarily undergo a paternity test to prove he is not the father of Mariah Yeater's three-month old son.
If the results redeem The Biebs, TMZ reports the 17-year-old singer might sue Yeater for slandering his good name in her lawsuit and "world exclusive" interview in Star magazine.
Yeater, 20, seems more determined than ever to sell her salacious story. In an interview to air Monday, she tells the "The Insider" he "went from cute and gushy to just ... more aggressive" prior to -- allegedly -- doing the deed.
"It'll show in court to prove my allegations are true," she declared without going into specifics. Apparently, she's bringing out the big guns: according to Radar Online, Yeater has hired top family lawyer Jeffery Leving to represent her.
The single mom from California claims she met Bieber backstage after his concert at L.A.'s Staples Center in October 2010, and that they had unprotected sex. Camp Bieber immediately went on the defense, slamming the report as false. The boy wonder -- who's been promoting his new Christmas album -- tweeted a message about ignoring the rumors, then stepped up his defense with a flat-out denial in an appearance on the "Today" show. TMZ later discovered that Yeater had accused an ex-boyfriend of getting her pregnant last December.
"There's been a lot of crap on the internet lately but I've pulled through it," Bieber said Sunday when accepting a trophy for Best Pop Act at MTV's Europe Music Awards in Belfast, Ireland. He was photographed the night before holding hands with girlfriend Selena Gomez at an MTV dinner party in the city.
