George Clooney Had Suicidal Thoughts Following Painful Back Injury

In legitimately shocking news: George Clooney says he considered suicide while suffering from back pain after a stunt-gone-wrong on the set of "Syriana."

"I was at a point where I thought, 'I can't exist like this. I can't actually live,'" the A-lister confesses in an interview with Rolling Stone, recalling the spinal injury he endured while filming the 2005 movie. "I was lying in a hospital bed with an IV in my arm, unable to move, having these headaches where it feels like you're having a stroke, and for a short three-week period, I started to think, 'I may have to do something drastic about this' ... but I never thought I'd get there."

Clooney reveals he had a plan to end his life, and turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism. "See, I was in a place where I was trying to figure out how to survive," he explains.

Elsewhere in the Rolling Stone profile -- and on a lighter note -- the typically private "Descendants" star opens up about losing his V-card at age 16 ("too young"), his love of fart jokes ("there's nothing funnier") and his reaction to girlfriend Stacy Keibler tweeting coy references to their relationship ("she can do whatever she wants").
