The Famous: Watching the Watched
  • In a story weirdly reminiscent of that Quentin Tarantino-Alan Ball "angry birds" fight from a while back, Reese Witherspoon's neighbors are apparently pissed off about the noise created by the two donkeys she has on her Ojai farm.

Oh, you didn't know Witherspoon had a stable of farm animals? Yep, the Oscar winning actress has donkeys, two pigs, three goats, 20 chickens, a horse and some dogs, all of which would probably seem weirder if Witherspoon wasn't so adorable and seemingly normal.

Anyway, these two donkeys, Honky and Tonky, were purchased by Witherspoon last year. And though she told Ellen DeGeneres they were "docile and sweet," her Ojai neighbors do not seem to agree, as one of them told Us Weekly "they're driving us crazy!" and another said that a few residents have written her a letter.

The group doesn't want Witherspoon to move though.

"She's beloved here," a neighbor said. "I'm not even sure she knows what's going on."

At this point, no comment yet from Honky or Tonky on

  • Joss Stone. - Joe Kohen/Getty ImagesExcuse us while we go vomit on behalf of Joss Stone. The British soul singer was the subject of a bone-chilling plot by two men who allegedly planned to rob and murder her, the Associated Press reports. Police arrested the men, aged 30 and 33, on Monday morning after residents spotted a suspicious-looking car driving slowly near Stone's home in the rural town of Cullompton, which is 175 miles southwest of London. Inside the car, cops discovered swords, rope, a body bag and maps of the 24-year-old singer's house.

    Yelp.

Stone, who's reportedly staying somewhere in Britain, says in a statement that she's "absolutely fine and getting on with life as normal." Meanwhile, she's receiving updates on whether police will charge the suspects for conspiracy to rob and murder.

The Grammy winner, a good friend of Prince William's, was a celebrity guest at the Royal Wedding in April. She's worth an estimated $14.6 million, and is slated to go on tour in July. We hope she changes her address, too.

  • Pippa in 2009... - Nick Harvey/WireImage...and Val in 1999. - Tony Barson/WireImageWe can't be the first ones to notice an uncanny resemblance between Pippa Middleton and Val Kilmer. Don't you see it? They could be distant relatives, but probably not. Yes, that would be weird. Anyway, mentally rub off Middleton's distractingly heavy eyeliner and note the similarities in bone structure, and the shape of the eyes and noses. And their golden tans.

Based on Various Internet Critics, Middleton is an overrated social climber and Kilmer is an underrated thespian. All they share is DNA, possibly.

  • WChristina Aguilera looks borderline unrecognizable on the cover of July's W Magazine, but in a good way!

Sporting frizzy blonde extensions and holding a well-placed bouquet of roses, this actually comes off as a more "natural" Xtina than the one we're used to seeing.

As for the interview, Aguilera wasn't afraid to discuss her break-up with Jordan Bratman, even addressing (if obliquely) the rumors they weren't faithful to one another.

"At one time or another we were not angels," she said. "It got to a point where our life at home was reminding me of my own childhood I will not have my son grow up in a tension-filled home. I knew there would be a negative reaction in the press to my divorce, but I am not going to live my life because of something someone might say."

Meanwhile, Beyonce is featured on the magazine's other cover this month, and she's definitely more clothed than Aguilera.

  • Martin Fraser/FilmMagicIan Gavan/Getty ImagesPrince Harry better watch out because his on-again, off-again, what-the-hell-are-they girlfriend Chelsy Davy was spotted ogling Matthew Morrison at the "Glee" star's concert in London.

The eyewitness report from Us Weekly made us giggle because Davy seems too cool to hit up a Matthew Morrison concert (unlike us, and your mom). So maybe she got a free ticket, or something. Or maybe she legitimately loves his cheesy new single "Summer Rain," which is a throwback to 1993.

    Let's revisit:

According to Us, Davy's favorite number from Morrison's London show was his surprise duet with JC Chasez of 'N Sync fame. And afterward, she partied until 3 a.m. with Morrison and his entourage at Boujis nightclub. "Chelsy was just hanging out, no flirting with guys," a source noted of the Zimbabwe-born law grad, who was overheard declaring her single status on vacation in Ibiza a couple weeks ago.

If Davy is angry at Harry for some reason, she has no reason to blame a rumored affair with Pippa

  • Due this summer. - Getty ImagesThe race amongst tabloids and websites to break stories and get exclusives has led to a celebrity culture where apparently any source -- no matter his or her age -- is fair game.

Hollywood Life has run an item "reporting" that Jessica Alba's three-year-old daughter, Honor, has "spilled the beans" on what the pregnant Alba and husband Cash Warren are planning to name Honor's new sibling.

"According to Honor, Jessica, 30, and her hubby Cash Warren are expected to name their soon-to-be baby girl, Eva!"

So there you have it. That is definitely the official word about what Jessica Alba will be naming her child.

Now let's ask Shiloh if Brad and Angelina are ever going to get married and have someone interrogate January Jones' stomach to ascertain who the father-to-be is.

  • Imagine that Leo is standing to Ryan's left, just outside of the frame. - Eric Charbonneau/WireImageAs if there were any doubt that it is pretty good to be Blake Lively these days -- nude picture scandal nearly forgotten, Leonardo DiCaprio by her side, praise from Oscar-nominated directors continuing to roll in -- this Page Six item is just icing on the proverbial cake.

"Blake Lively, her 'Green Lantern' co-star Ryan Reynolds and new beau Leonardo DiCaprio shared a happy dinner at Locanda Verde on Monday night."

Yes, that's right. She had dinner with both Ryan Reynolds and Leonardo DiCaprio at the same time. There should be some sort of law against one person interfacing with that much handsomeness at once.

So yeah, Blake Lively continues to single-handedly live out the dreams of a nation.

  • PradaDespite the fact that he basically fell off the cultural radar when the "Spider-Man" trilogy ended, and also considering he has never exactly been considered a heartthrob, Tobey Maguire is nevertheless the face of the new campaign for Prada's menswear.

Describing this unexpected, unconventional choice, Miuccia Prada is quoted in The Hollywood Reporter as saying: "his mood is transfixed and pensive, full of vibrant intensity and mystery."

Meanwhile, for his part, model Maguire is (also unexpectedly) a big fan of the Prada head:

"Miuccia Prada has inspired a culture of creativity that is woven through every aspect of her company, from her collections, her campaigns, to every design detail in her stores," the actor said in the THR story, adding: "I have such admiration for her artistry and I'm thrilled to be a part of Prada's fall campaign."

We... really don't know what to say. He looks pensive? Confused? Forlorn? Pallid? Going out on a limb here, but somehow we don't see teen girls

  • California, here they come. - Nick Harvey/WireImagePerhaps it's because we always see them at these formal events decked out in uniforms and fascinators, but something about William and Kate coming to California this summer seems so bizarre to us, almost as if the state was to be visited by a couple arriving in a time machine from the 1800s.

Perhaps sensing that the Royal newlyweds would be most comfortable at serious affairs marked by prestige and glamour, they have been scheduled to attend the inaugural "BAFTA Brits to Watch" black-tie event, to be held June 9 in Los Angeles. The Duke and Duchess will fraternize with "42 emerging British talents" and their presence will help "highlight the depth and range of British talent currently emerging in film, television and video games."

As for the rest of their three day trip -- which will span from July 8 to July 10 -- the pair will attend the Consular-General Reception on behalf of the United Kingdom Trade and Investment on the evening of July 8; William will play polo at the Santa

  • Post-Oscar, pre-baby. - Kevin Mazur/WireImageNatalie Portman is a mom! People.com reports the actress and her fiance, Benjamin Millepied, have welcomed a son; the couple are mum on the location and time of the birth, as well as the baby's name.

Portman first hooked up with Millepied on the set of "Black Swan," for which she won an Academy Award for Best Actress. The dashing French ballet dancer was her choreographer on the movie, and then so much more: the pair announced they were engaged and expecting a baby in December. A very pregnant Portman brought Millepied as her date to the Oscars in March. He later defended his future bride against bitter ballerina Sarah Lane during all that body double drama.

    Congrats to the new parents!
