The Famous: Watching the Watched
  • No, this is not a still photo from MTV's "Cribs: Locked Up In Luxury." That show doesn't exist! If it did, however, the debut episode would feature other than Lindsay Lohan, who's under house arrest for stealing a necklace. She allowed Life & Style into her Venice Beach, California, home for an intimate portrait and interview.

"I'm a very social person, and I like being outside, especially in Venice Beach," she tells the magazine in its new issue. "I'd like to get out more -- just going out and having dinner. I was really upset not being able to go to my little brother's birthday party. He just turned 16. That bummed me out."

Lohan says her bachelorette pad is an alcohol-free zone, and she can't wait to be released June 29 so she can start her her court-mandated community service (and get back to work by September). She's keeping busy in the meantime, hosting roof parties and filming weird commercials for random websites. As The Famous' Josh Duboff notes, "she probably should be

  • Dunn was 34 years old. - Michael Buckner/Getty ImagesTurns out Ryan Dunn was very, very drunk when he crashed his Porsche into the woods, killing himself and passenger Zachary Hartwell. Police in West Goshen, Pennsylvania, said Wednesday that the "Jackass" daredevil's blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit, the Daily Local News reports. At the time of the accident on Monday morning, Dunn registered a .196 over .08, which is the state's legal limit; cops speculate he'd been speeding at 140 mph, too.

So, yes, that's a recipe for disaster. Just hours before his death, Dunn was photographed drinking with friends at Barnaby's Bar in the town of West Chester; this evidence suggested that Dunn had been driving under the influence, leading Roger Ebert to court accusations of insensivity by tweeting too soon, posting: "Friends don't let jackasses drink and drive."

The Daily has posted an interview with Thaddeus Kalinoski, a drinking buddy of Dunn's who witnessed the MTV stuntman downing "at least four shots" and "a number of beers" over

  • Who'd have thought we'd see the day when Jennifer Aniston would be labeled the evil homewrecker?

Us Weekly is running with the whole "Aniston stole Justin Theroux away from his innocent ex-girlfriend" storyline, plastering Aniston on its cover this week with the headline "How Jen Stole Her Man." The story includes quotes like "Jen wanted Justin and it didn't matter that he was already with someone" and "Jen went after him."

Meanwhile, Terry Richardson put up some pictures on his blog of the new couple, who apparently dined with the photographer recently. Aniston looks happy! Theroux looks beard-y! May their love last forever.

  • This is Maguire's poker face. - Michael Buckner/Getty ImagesIn today's headlines of the bizarre, Radar Online is reporting that doe-eyed actor Tobey Maguire is being sued over his involvement in an illegal Hollywood poker ring. Other A-list aces implicated: Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.

Those guys are off the hook, but not Maguire. According to Star magazine (via Radar), the "Spider-Man" star won more than $300,000 from hedge fund manager Brad Ruderman, who masterminded a Ponzi scheme to embezzle clients' money -- and pay off his gambling debt. Ruderman, who was convicted for investment adviser fraud and wire fraud, is chilling in a Texas jail until 2018. Meanwhile, lawyers are suing Maguire and a host of other boldfaced names/poker players connected with the clandestine society, hoping to win back more money for Ruderman's victims.

(A rep for Maguire has not yet responded to our request for comment.)

Also facing civil lawsuits: "Notebook" director Nick Cassevetes, "Welcome Back, Kotter" star Gabe Kaplan and Paris Hilton's

  • Proving perhaps more than anything he is willing to do just about anything to promote "Larry Crowne," Tom Hanks showed up on Univision's morning show "Despierta America" yesterday where he crashed the weather report.

Considering he didn't really seem to understand any of the Spanish, his coping mechanism ("Just keep dancing!") serves him pretty well.

  • Leave it to Evan Rachel Wood to make a bold statement: the actress-y actress debuted a pixie haircut at Tuesday's "True Blood" premiere in Hollywood, adding a fierce, androgynous edge with a suit and suspenders by Dolce and Gabbana.

In every photo of Wood from the event, she has her hands in her pockets and a sly smile -- clearly, she arrived to the red carpet with a specific pose in mind.

Wood's 'do mimics the cropped cuts of Emma Watson and Michelle Williams, the leaders of the Hollywood Pixie Brigade. Not everyone can pull off the daring look, including The Famous, but Wood pulls it off nicely.

Wood, who recently starred in the acclaimed HBO drama "Mildred Pierce," recently announced her bisexuality, casually mentioning it in an Esquire interview. "I'm more of like the guy when it comes to girls," she said. "I'm the dominant one.... I'm opening doors, I'm buying dinner. Yeah, I'm romantic."

Fun fact: Wood used to date Marilyn Manson, who may or may not be Paul from "The

  • Lauren Conrad to Write for ‘Forbes’

The rest is still unwritten. - Getty ImagesLauren Conrad and Forbes Magazine are two entities you probably don't think of all that much and -- if you do -- you would never expect one to have anything to do with the other.

Yet, the former star of "The Hills" -- who has proven she is quite the savvy businesswoman in recent years -- has inked a deal to write for the magazine's lifestyle section on a weekly basis for four months. Conrad is going to offer "a four-month exploration of the fashion business, inner workings of a celebrity web site, the publishing industry and... beauty/style tips."

Why was the business publication interested in Conrad? Well, her growing empire of books and apparel lines seems to have been the main draw.

"Lauren's jump from celebrity to entrepreneur puts her on the same trajectory as many a bright-eyed instant cover girl, but whether she can channel her persona into an enduring commercial tour de force remains to be seen," the magazine said. "All considered, she's off to a good start."

    Ah, how long ago

  • George Clooney is a Single Man

In September 2010. - Venturelli/WireImageElisabetta Canalis is joining Sarah Larson, Krista Allen and Krista Snowden in the (prestigious?) collection of women who have dated George Clooney only to unceremoniously get dumped before getting a ring on it.

Canalis and Clooney dated for two years, and it started to seem like maybe Clooney had finally found a woman to settle down with. Canalis even dared mention in a recent interview that she planned to get married in her future (perhaps that was the kiss of death?).

Here's the joint statement the couple released today:

"We are not together anymore. It's very difficult and very personal, and we hope everyone can respect our privacy."

So who will Clooney date next? Current co-star Sandra Bullock? The ever upwardly moving Blake Lively? Eh, probably just another unknown foreign television presenter named Angelique or Francesca, who will make it a year or two before joining Elisabetta, Sarah and the rest.

  • Jason "Laying The Groundwork" Sudeikis strikes again, and he's set his sights on a new target: Eva Mendes.

Sudeikis and Mendes were spotted having a late-night snack at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles, E! Online reports, which is quick to note that the two are just friends, having recently co-starred in a "Hangover" parody at the MTV Movie Awards. Mendes has a boyfriend of 10 years, George Augusto.

Just friends, huh? That's clearly how Sudeikis, whose undercover skills of seduction have ensnared the likes of January Jones and Jennifer Aniston, attempts to reel in the hotties. The "Saturday Night Live" star's unspoken rules for laying the groundwork: meet a famous lady through work connections, make her laugh so she'll let her guard down ("he's so funny and REAL, unlike [fill in the blank with self-absorbed A-lister]," she'll gush to friends about her new platonic man-buddy). Next, isolate the prey: invite said famous lady to hang out as, you know, "friends." Nothing more. Then

  • This photo gives us goosebumps. - AP PhotoTracy Morgan's tour of damage control for his ugly homophobic rant culminated with a heartfelt meeting where it all began. The "30 Rock" comedian returned to Nashville on Tuesday to meet with Kevin Rogers, the fan who detailed his disgust at Morgan's anti-gay tirade during a stand-up show in the city. (Morgan had unleashed a torrent of haterade, sniping that he'd "stab" his son if he were gay.) The ensuing anti-Morgan backlash prompted the star to publicly apologize and begin a partnership with GLAAD to speak out on behalf of gay rights.

Morgan and Rogers sat together on a GLAAD panel, in a show of solidarity.

"I don't have a hateful bone in my body. I don't believe that anyone should be bullied or just made to feel bad about who they are," said Morgan. "I totally feel that, in my heart, I really don't care who you love, same-sex or not, as long as you have the ability to love."

Behold, a clip of Morgan's speech:
