The Famous: Watching the Watched
  • This is how a millionairess looks. - Jim Spellman/WireImageBravo reality TV star Bethenny Frankel may not be the entrepreneurial empress we have been lead to believe.

The former "Real Housewife of New York City" sold her low-calorie cocktail franchise Skinnygirl earlier this year for an alleged $120 million. But the recently-released U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's quarterly report doesn't seem to agree with the nine-digit figure that industry indsiders and Frankel's friends have reported as fact (via The Hollywood Reporter).

The official federal report says Beam Global (as in Jim Beam) acquired Frankel's ready-made cocktail brand for a far more reasonable $8.1 million. The company concedes that if the Skinnygirl franchise meets certain high sales expectations they may have to claim additional profit, but "in an amount not in excess of $25 million." Business jargon aside: Even if Bethenny's brand is flying off the shelves, it's still not worth even a quarter of the previously accepted value.

Still, it should be noted that Frankel

  • Michelle Duggar: always procreating. - AP PhotoNineteen is not enough for Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar. The god-fearing, child-rearing Arkansas couple are hoping for No. 20. "We would love more (children) but, of course, I'm 45, so we don't know if that will ever happen again. But we love more," Michelle Duggar tells the HuffPo, adding that sometimes she thinks: "Whoa, that's a lot of people."

The Duggars' reality show, "19 Kids and Counting," kicks off its fifth season tonight on TLC; the ever-expanding brood travels together to Niagara Falls, Atlanta, England and Israel. (Good thing Kristen Johnston wasn't on that flight. She would have lost her s--t.)

  • A screengrab of the alleged deflation. - JuicyThe website Juicy purports to have evidence supporting an ongoing conspiracy theory that Beyonce's baby belly is fake. The site captured bizarre slow-mo video of the 30-year-old mommy-to-be arriving for her interview on the set of Australia's "Sunday Night." (That's where she announced the messiah's February due date.)"We don't know if it was camera angles, or our eyes playing tricks but it looked like her belly did a 'sqoosh' and deflated as she sat," Juicy observes.

After careful examination, we have to agree that something is most definitely off. Maybe Beyonce's "Bump Manager" accidentally deflated the prosthetic device after pressing the wrong button on the remote control? Or maybe it was an optical illusion induced by the fabric on her dress. We may never know, guys. We may never know.

UPDATE: Beyonce's publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, shot down the fake bump rumors in a statement to ABC News, calling them "stupid, ridiculous and false."

  • Serial baby-holder. - Kevin Mazur/WireImageJessica Simpson's pregnancy announcement is imminent. (Man, are we going to feel like a jerk if she's NOT. Return our calls, Jess!) In the meantime, she's holding babies at autograph signings and looking like she's got something to hide.

If she's indeed expecting her first child (with fiance Eric Johnson), then she can't hold out too long before announcing the news. Perhaps Simpson has struck some kind of a deal with People magazine to give them the exclusive. (Hence her radio silence.)

That's boring. She's got to find a way to top Beyonce's VMA stunt. (Impossible, probably.) We have some other ideas:

*Perform adult-contemporary ballad atop Empire State Building. Rip open Jessica Simpson Collection blazer to reveal baby bump at end of performance.

*Text confirmation to shady ex-boyfriend John Mayer, knowing full well he'll leak it to TMZ.

*Tweet all 10 used pregnancy tests.

Ew, gross! Don't do that! How about a simple "Yes, I'm pregnant"?

  • Tyler Shields: even creepier than Terry Richardson. - Tyler ShieldsMischa Barton's post-"O.C." career trajectory has been truly bizarre: she did not attempt to leverage her five seconds of TV fame, a la Blake Lively, to maneuver high-profile movie roles and boyfriends; instead, Barton made one bad decision after another, heavily partying her way into the Hollywood Bad Girls' Club. (Lindsay is HBGC president. Meanwhile, Blake prefers to buy groceries for RyRy.)

Barton, who portrayed tragic good girl Marisa Cooper on "The O.C.," insists in an interview with LADYGUNN magazine that she declines job offers left and right. "It's strange," she says. "Everyone keeps asking me about what I'm working on right now. But it's quite the opposite. It's about what projects I'm turning down, which identifies me as the actor I want to be. I'm in this funny phase in my career, where it's super important to not do a project unless I'm super passionate about it."

Surprisingly, she eagerly accepted the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to star in a Tyler Shields photoshoot

  • Ashton Kutcher's marriage is on the rocks amid rumors of infidelity, but he still has the unconditional love of one superfan in Brazil who inked a love note on her back.

The woman, named Jessica Khushi, tweeted a photo of the tattoo, which reads: "Ashton Kutcher i love you love is forever fan i love you." Blue butterflies offset the poetic language. Kutcher's response: "All I can say is wow."

All Demi Moore can say is: shut the bleep up. Bleep. Bleepity-bleep-bleep-bleep.

  • Bethenny re-enacts her boating nightmare. - Toby Canham/Getty ImagesBethenny Frankel recently survived a hellish scenario: last month the Bravo reality star and her husband chartered a sailboat and got lost at sea for 20 terrifying hours. Or did they??? The guy who came to the rescue tells The Jewish Journal that the group -- which included Frankel's therapist and a Bravo camera team -- scripted the situation for the sake of drama. According to Tim Russell, who was called out to Frankel's "capsized" boat in the wee hours of the morning, there was hardly any danger to report in the waters off Nantucket. Writes Ilana Angel:

When Tim got there, he saw the boat was fine. There were 9 people on the boat. Bethenny, Jason, the therapist and a Bravo film crew of 6. They did not need a tow as the boat was fine. They simply followed Tim and his wife back to the shore with no towing and a functioning GPS.

There was no reason for help to be called, Russell says. The Coast Guard did not assist, as there was nothing for them to do. Tim went out because he respects

  • Rob hung out with Kim in Hollywood last August, pre-"Dancing." - Jason LaVeris/FilmMagicAnyone tune into E!'s Kim Kardashian wedding special last night? No? Good on you. YOU have willpower. The Famous, on the other hand, could not tear itself away from all the drama: Will Khloe Kardashian and Kris Humphries bury the hatchet before Kim walks down the aisle? (Probably, yes.) Will Kris Jenner wake up from her 9-hour facelift operation? (Plot spoiler: she does!) Will Rob Kardashian gather the willpower to stop eating junk food??? (Wait, what?)

Indeed. The Kardashian bro's unhealthy diet was a major plot point on Sunday's installment of "Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event." The Armenian-American cutie was shown gorging on tacos and coffeecakes (which he'd hidden underneath his bed) while his concerned sisters reprimanded him. Warned sister Khloe to 200-pound Rob: "A moment on your lips is a lifetime on your hips."

E! shot footage for the special over the summer and at the over-the-top Kardashian-Humphries wedding on Aug. 20. Rob Kardashian's random weight-loss

  • The newlyweds bantered on "The Tonight Show" last week. - Kevin Winter/Getty ImagesAfter some tense pre-marital squabbling, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries made it down the aisle for part deux of their four-hour E! wedding special.

The second half of "Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event" aired Monday night, and provided enough drama to keep us guessing whether Humphries -- whose ego was bruised by Kardashian's decision to keep her last name -- would ditch the reality star at the altar. (He doesn't, of course.) When his soon-to-be bride -- who kept comparing herself to the late, multiply-married Elizabeth Taylor -- declined to become "Kim Humphries," the New Jersey Nets player snapped: "I just think you let your family make decisions for you. ... You're 30 years old, grow up. Grow up."

    Well, that wasn't very nice.

"I feel like I'm just a roadblock to Kim's perfect wedding," he told Kardashian, adding: "For years you sold clothes in the Valley."

Ha. Did someone feed him that line?

The outspoken Humphries, 26, also clashed with Khloe Kardashian, who thought he

  • Rihanna tells Esquire she's got nothing against disgraced ex-boyfriend Chris Brown:

"It's incredible to see how he pulled out of it the way he did. Even when the world seemed like it was against him, you know? I really like the music he's putting out. I'm a fan of his stuff. I've always been a fan. Obviously, I had some resentment toward him for a while, for obvious reasons. But I've put that behind me. It was taking up too much of my time. It was too much anger. I'm really excited to see the breakthrough he's had in his career. I would never wish anything horrible for him. Never. I never have."
