The Famous: Watching the Watched
  • Cibrian and Rimes, hugging it out in Las Vegas in September. - Jacob Andrzejczak/Getty ImagesPublic-service announcement: LeAnn Rimes is done talking about adultery.

The singer, who faced a bitter public backlash after leaving husband Dean Sheremet for actor Eddie Cibrian, has since stoked the outrage by giving no-regrets interviews with national magazines and ABC's Robin Roberts. (Just let it go, LeAnn! Put us out of your misery!). Today she tweeted, "I wish for peace." Then one of her followers responded: "maybe blowing up the tabloids by giving Robin Roberts sound-bytes...was not the best way to go about achieving...peace... ."

And so Rimes, always one to have the last word, tweeted this: "maybe if they wouldn't twist what I said and watch the whole interview then there would be understanding. I never said what THEY are putting in my mouth. I'm trying to talk past this, so my music is priority. This will be the last time I speak about this situation. Its sad that my honesty is being twisted, but I don't expect people to print the truth, that would be too....right!"

  • The GQ cover that started a frenzy. - GQ/Terry Richardson

Those "controversial" and "sexy" photos of Glee's Lea Michele, Dianna Agron and Cory Monteith that had the country setting bonfires and running through the streets a couple of weeks ago?

Unsurprisingly, they were internet gold for GQ.com.

The site, which typically generates about 2.5 million pageviews for popular stories in their first week, received 33 million pageviews for the "Glee" pictures in the first week they were on the site. Calling them the "gift that keeps on giving," magazine VP publisher Peter King Hunsinger said GQ plans to post behind-the-scenes video of the shoot this week.

When the Parents Television Council finds out about this they'll probably undergo cardiac arrest.

  • Lovato at the Vh1 Do Something! Awards - Michael Caulfield/WireImageAfter Disney star Demi Lovato checked into a medical center for treatment on Monday, her father Patrick did the only natural thing for a parent to do the day after his 18-year-old daughter saw her very personal problems become national headlines: He blabbed about her to the press.

Patrick - who reportedly hasn't seen his daughter since 2008 and hasn't spoken to her in "a couple of months" - gave a long interview to RadarOnline.com Tuesday, in which he said he's confident Demi will be okay: "She'll be fine... She's strong alright."

Patrick, who is divorced from Demi's mom, seems to think his daughter's breakdown was somewhat inevitable. "There are a lot of pressures. That is one of the things I worried about when she signed with Disney... It's just going to happen." (As if parodying the way this cruel machine works, Radar includes a link to a "Hottest Reformed Celebrity Partiers In Bikinis" slide show in the middle of the interview.)

As for the rumors surrounding Demi's past behavior,

  • Instead of trick-or-treating, this is what Justin Bieber did on Halloween: The teen superstar went to a Barnes and Noble to promote his new book "First Step 2 Forever: My Story," and he wore these nerdy black-frame glasses while doing so. He was obviously inspired by another famous Justin.

What was Bieber trying to say with these specs? Let's break it down:

    • He is cooler than us. So he can get away with anything. Obviously.
    • He wants to look brainy, too. And with these oversized glasses, he could be mistaken for Harry Potter in the boy wizard's second year at Hogwarts.
    • He wants to distance himself from his pretty-boy persona. Witness the backdrop of soulful Bieber faces he is standing against - and another one, on the cover of the book! Which is going to sell like crazy, you know it. But since Bieber is so naturally cool, he must be slightly embarrassed at the over-the-top pop-bubblegum-ness of it all. By wearing these frames, it's as if he's trying to say, "I'm more than my

  • If there was some sort of checklist for achieving female celebrity icon status, Taylor Swift would have most of the boxes checked off. She's had artistic success, a movie cameo, A-List boyfriends, a scandal of massive proportions (that involved another celebrity, to boot), and a newly minted Madame Tussaud's wax figure made in her image. But, until now, she has been missing one element all megastars must have: the fragrance.

Like Britney, Mariah and Beyonce have done before her, Taylor has inked a deal to develop her own scent. The country star will work with Elizabeth Arden on the fragrance, which does not yet have a name.

"I have always loved how fragrance can shape a memory... the way certain scents remind you of events and people that are imprinted in your thoughts," she said in a statement. "Lately I've been having fun experimenting with combining some of my favorite scents."

This is great news for people who love remembering things and also enjoy the smell of expensive wood.
