L.C. leaves the Kardashian sisters in the dust. - Jordan Strauss/WireImageLauren Conrad may have been largely out of the limelight she she left "The Hills" in 2009, but she still wields great influence over the twittering masses.
According to something called the "Ad.ly Consumer Influence Index," Conrad drove the most consumer traffic (out of all celebrities) to advertisers' sites in the pivotal fourth quarter of 2010.
Impressively Conrad -- a New York Times best-selling writer, lest we forget -- was rated more influential than the Kardashian sisters, who came in at #2 (Kim), #3 (Khloe) and #5 (Kourtney).
If would appear that if companies can't get Conrad or a Kardashian sister to tweet their links, they should enter NBA.com in their browsers and see what they can find. Boston Celtic Paul Pierce, Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom (who is also Khloe Kardashian's husband) and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban made the top ten, at #6, #9 and #10, respectively.
Perhaps even more surprising than the basketballers' influence is Michael Ian Black's name in the #7 spot.
