  • In healthier times. - Getty ImagesDr. Drew Pinsky vacationed in the West Indies, and came back with a "brutal case" of Leptospirosis that landed him in the hospital overnight, the celebrity shrink revealed on Twitter.

Lepto-what? By the CDC's classification, what Pinsky suffers from is a bacterial infection typically caused by "exposure to water contaminated with the urine of infected animals." Ick. Symptoms include high fever, sever headache, chills, vomiting and jaundice.

Get better, Dr. Drew! Seriously. Who else could predict the demise of Brangelina and get away with it?

  • Zahara is totally freaking out right now. - Jon Chu/TwitpicWorlds are colliding: Angelina Jolie crossed paths with Canadian boy wonder Justin Bieber at Sunday's Golden Globes, and Bieber's friend snapped a fan photo before Angie realized what was going on. Bieber, who has the swagger of a 40-year-old, tried to flirt with the evil temptress/Earth Mother but then Brad threw him the evil eye, causing the teen dream/nail-polish entrepreneur to sprint down the red carpet, wearing oversized purple glasses. • "Oh, hi there." - Stephen Dunn/Getty ImagesLindsay Lohan is back on the straight and narrow. Radar reports the star has passed all of her drug and alcohol tests since leaving Betty Ford two weeks ago. "She is serious about staying healthy and is avoiding all the old things she used to do," Michael "Father of the Year" Lohan says. For instance: Instead of hitting up the Golden Globes after-parties Sunday night, La Lohan stayed in to watch the show on TV. She's also been hanging courtside at Laker games, looking healthy and happy. On Feb. 25, the recovering actress returns to Los Angeles Superior Court for a hearing; if she fails a sobriety test before then, she'll head straight back to jail. Lohan remains on probation until August.

  • Irreplaceable. - Jason Kempin/Getty ImagesAfter a bajillion years -- very, very good years -- Regis Philbin is retiring from his talk show in late 2011. So now, the chatter is: Who will replace the veteran broadcaster on "Live! with Regis & Kelly"?

The blogosphere is abuzz with suggestions: Jeff Probst. Tim Gunn. Nick Cannon. Kelly Ripa's husband, Mark Consuelos. But how about Neil Patrick Harris? The "How I Met Your Mother" star/permanent awards show host would probably jump at the opportunity to take over for Philbin (barring any contract issues with "HIMYM"); although NPH lacks daytime talk experience, he's proven a smooth master of ceremonies as the emcee for events ranging from the Tonys to the Emmys. And while he could never steal Philbin's place as a father figure to Ripa (that would be weird), the 37-year-old star had shown an easy rapport with Ripa while subbing in for Philbin as guest host on "Live!" In his various appearances, NPH tones down his signature, scene-stealing snark and lets Ripa shine.

    Here's a

  • Remember The Rachel? If you're female, and were around in the '90s, then of course you do. Sometimes it worked, and sometimes it didn't: On Jennifer Aniston, who originated the iconic layered 'do, the style looked fantastic; on our teenage self, it looked like a hideous grown-out mullet. But, oh, get this: Aniston hated it too!

"I love (my hairstylist) Chris, and he's the bane of my existence at the same time because he started that damn Rachel, which was not my best look," she reveals in the February issue of Allure. "How do I say this? I think it was the ugliest haircut I've ever seen."

And yet, Aniston has stuck by her stylist -- Chris McMillan -- ever since. That's loyalty. He's redeemed himself by tending to the actress' trademark golden mane, which always looks perfect (if not boring). McMillan switched things up for Allure, however, giving the actress clip-on bangs for a retro sex-kitten look. Of course, the yoga-toned, clothing minimalist could not resist going topless for the

  • Elton, David and Zachary. - OK! MagazineIt's a rare sight to see Sir Elton John on the cover of a celebrity magazine, but the music legend has pulled a Brangelina to show the first pictures of his baby son with partner David Furnish.

John and Furnish struck joint cover deals with OK! and Us Weekly magazines, giving them exclusive photos of baby Zachary Jackson Levon, who is adorable and very, very tiny as you can see. He was born Christmas Day via a surrogate.

"I've never felt anything like it in my life," John says. "You're so awestruck, I will never forget that feeling ever."

John and Furnish, who've been together 17 years, tried to adopt two Ukrainian orphans in 2009, but that fell through, leaving the couple heartbroken. "We feel awful," says Furnish, "We keep hitting red tape. But we're not giving up until they're out and in a safe, supported home."

The pair married in 2005, and share a similar parenting philosophy. Says John: "I'm ready to have a child and lavish love on my son and not spoil him materially."

  • In a relationship with "Nurse Jackie" creator Linda Wallen. - Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty ImagesAfter an acrimonious split from ex-partner Tammy, Melissa Etheridge has moved on with the "best man" from their 2003 wedding.

Etheridge's new girlfriend just so happens to be her best friend, too. Her name: Linda Wallem. Her occupation: creator of Showtime's "Nurse Jackie."

"Melissa and Linda have been best friends for over 10 years," a friend of the couple tells People. "They got together three months after Melissa and Tammy broke up. ... They're happy."

Etheridge and Wallem attended the Emmy Awards last August, weeks after the 49-year-old rocker filed to end her nine-year partnership with Tammy Etheridge, who was blindsided. The once-happy Etheridges quickly became involved in a bitter legal dispute over spousal support (Tammy claimed she had no money to eat) and custody of their 4-year-old twins, Johnnie Rose and Miller.

While People magazine's source says, "Everybody really is in a better place now," it seems Tammy is not. In a caustic post on her blog Tuesday, the former

  • They've got Faith. - Jason Merritt/Getty ImagesSurprise! Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have announced the under-the-radar arrival of their second child, a girl named Faith Margaret. She was born Dec. 28 via a surrogate in Nashville, and Kidman and Urban are the bio-parents.

"Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret," the couple said in a statement Monday. "No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier."

Kidman and Urban attended last night's Golden Globes but made no mention of Faith; the "Rabbit Hole" actress, 43, gave birth to daughter Sunday Rose in July 2008.

    Congrats!

  • Hathaway and Franco have tricks up their sleeves. - Henry S. Dziekan III, Frazer Harrison/Getty ImagesWhile Ricky Gervais deals with Hollywood backlash to his Golden Globes hosting performance -- where he roasted gay Scientologists, among everyone else -- a pair of relatively tame actors prepare to co-host the Academy Awards.

So there's no way Anne Hathaway and James Franco can outdo Gervais' flair for causing controversy (i.e. never being boring), but they'll certainly have some tricks up their talented sleeves: The duo is meeting with Academy Award producers this week to discuss their upcoming Oscars gig, the New York Daily News reports.

    The pressure is on.

Hathaway is by far one of the most actressy of actresses, a close second to that crybaby Lea Michele. Franco is a virtual enigma. What could they possibly have in store for us? And, as The Projector's Tim Grierson has pointed out, won't it be awkward if Franco gets nominated for "127 Hours"? But that's a whole 'nother post.

Bruce Vilanch, longtime Oscars writer, says he'd love for Hathaway to skewer "The Black Swan," and Franco
