The Famous: Watching the Watched
  • Cam and Snoop on 'TRL' in 2008. - Scott Gries/Getty ImagesAdmittedly, this item would be more awesome if the names in the headline were reversed, but it's nevertheless amusing.

On Wednesday night's "Lopez Tonight," Cameron Diaz revealed that Snoop Dogg, who was her high school classmate (weird!), hasn't changed all that much since they attended Long Beach Polytechnic High together.

"He was a year older than me," Diaz recalled. "I remember him, he was very tall and skinny. He wore lots of ponytails."

As it turns out, Diaz and Snoop Dogg had something of a professional relationship as high schoolers.

"I'm pretty sure I bought weed from him," Diaz explained. "I was green even in high school!"

"Yes, I had to have," she said, upon reflection.

So many questions here: Was Diaz aiming for a "Green Hornet" joke with that "green" line? (We hope not.) How did it take twenty years for this "news" to come out? What was Diaz like in high school? Is it possible to be so forgetful that you can't remember with 100 percent certainty whether or not you bought

  • Natalie Portman's laugh is ... something. She unleashed a giggle fit while accepting her trophy at Sunday's Golden Globes, and an Internet meme was born. Gawker has posted a "Complete Guide" to the "Black Swan" star's guffaw, which is simultaneously geeky, nervous and (harmlessly) diabolical.

The best video (via CollegeHumor) shows her endlessly laughing after telling a bad joke about fiance/baby daddy Benjamin Millepied:

But you know what's even dorkier and more disturbing? Tom Cruise's maniacal laugh. It will give you nightmares!

  • Willow Smith: The future of Hollywood. - Kevin Mazur/WireImageAdjectives associated with Willow Smith: plucky, precocious and unique (especially regarding her off-the-wall hairstyles).

These qualities clearly make the 9-year-old "Whip My Hair" phenomenon a perfectchoice to portray orphan "Annie" in a remake of the movie musical, don't you think? At least that's what Smith's father, the obscure film star Will Smith, has in mind. According to Variety, the actor is hoping to score Willow a leading role in an "Annie" update with Jay-Z in talks to collaborate on the soundtrack.

We're .... intrigued! While we skipped Willow's brother -- and Bieber BFF -- Jaden in the wildly successful "Karate Kid," we're eager to see how Willow would channel the spunky, idealistic orphan who warbled "Tomorrow" at the top of her lungs (somewhat annoyingly). One thing is certain: Willow's Annie would be much cooler than the red-headed original.

If this deal goes down, should her real-life dad play Daddy Warbucks?

  • George Clooney Contracted Malaria in Sudan

In Juba, Sudan on January 9. - Spencer Platt/Getty ImagesAs improbable as it may seem, George Clooney is susceptible to disease just like the rest of us. The handsome actor had a rough start to the year as he contracted malaria while he was in Sudan earlier this month. Thankfully, Clooney has fully recovered, he told Piers Morgan, in an interview to air Friday.

He discussed the scare in typical, Clooney-ish, lighthearted fashion.

"I guess the mosquito in Juba looked at me and thought I was the bar," he told Morgan.

On a more serious note, Clooney said in a statement, "This illustrates how with proper medication, the most lethal condition in Africa can be reduced to a bad ten days instead of a death sentence."

Clooney had been in Sudan as part of his work on the "Enough" project, a partnership with Google and the United Nations striving to end genocide.

Morgan, in his first week on air, has been tweeting relentlessly about the interview, no doubt trying to drum up interest.

"It's [Clooney's] 2nd bout of malaria," he tweeted. "Taking

  • No coffee this time. - Steve Granitz/WireImageThough by all accounts the romance between Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal had come to an end -- Gyllenhaal rebounding by flirting with every Hollywood actress with a pulse, Swift holed up by a fireplace somewhere writing songs about the breakup -- it now appears that Swiftenhaal, to some extent, still lives.

People is reporting that Swift and Gyllenhaal arrived together Wednesday at a restaurant called Bound'ry, located near Swift's Nashville condo. The duo were led to a table for two, according to a patron (you can tell People's really scrounging for details here when that "revelation" is included in the article).

"They did eat," the patron told People. "They were cordial to one another, but not affectionate."

Normally we might question the assertion that just because they were seen eating together they have reconciled (as the People headline suggests); but, considering their previous dates were almost exclusively coffee-based, solid foods would seem to indicate a momentous

  • How do you solve a problem like Charlie Sheen? To put it bluntly, the guy is a mess. But we all knew that. CBS knows that. Last Friday, network exec Nina Tassler told reporters at a Television Critics Association event: "We have a high level of concern and how could we not?" So does the "Two and A Half Men" star's ex, Denise Richards.

"What becomes difficult is things become so public," Richards tells "Access Hollywood," opening up about her relationship with Sheen. "I try my best to keep that quiet from our daughters because, you know, this is something I've never dealt with in my life until this situation."

Report: Richards Splits With Rocker Boyfriend

"I'm learning how to deal with it and just keeping a lid on it for our kids has been my main priority and it does become difficult," she adds.

Sheen certainly makes it that way. He ruined a non-romantic vacation in New York with Richards and their two daughters, Sam and Lola, when he trashed a hotel room at the Plaza while a woman

  • Kim has a message for "all young girls out there." - Christopher Polk/Getty ImagesYesterday, a story about a Memphis high school where 90 girls are pregnant (representing 11 percent of the student body) was picked up by several national media outlets, with MTV reality show "Teen Mom" (in its arguable glamorization of teenage pregnancy) cited as a potential factor in the so-called "pregnancy epidemic."

And now, noted cultural critic Kim Kardashian has weighed in on the report. Kardashian took to her blog after seeing the story while she was at the "Today Show" yesterday:

While I was at the "Today Show" this morning I saw a story about a Memphis high school where 90 young female students were either pregnant or have given birth this year! I just couldn't believe this and I find it so sad and disturbing. It seems that shows like "Teen Mom" are all of a sudden making teen pregnancy seem cool in the eyes of young girls. The kids from these shows are all over the news, even on the covers of magazines, and have been become almost like celebrities, but girls, these are not

  • He can smile, too. - Jamie McCarthy/Getty ImagesKanye West takes himself seriously but he's not above joking around now and then. Are you in shock? Page Six reports the irritable rapper can be intentionally funny, per this exchange at the New York club 10ak.

    Woman: "Are you Kanye West?"

Kanye: "No, my name is Louis."

Woman: "Damn, you should be an impersonator and work in Vegas. You should be getting paid."

Kanye: "I've been to Vegas. And, oh, I get paid."

Heh. If the "Woman" had known better, she would have ID-ed "Louis" by his $180,000 watch. Total giveaway.

  • Owen Wilson’s Son Gets a New Name

New father and celebratory hula dancer. - Jason Merritt/Getty ImagesOwen Wilson's son is no longer named after a car company. Instead, he now shares a name with one of the most famous American outlaws.

Yes, after Wilson and girlfriend Jade Duell announced they had named their baby boy Ford Linton Wilson, Star magazine reports the couple decided at the last minute to switch their son's name to Robert Ford Wilson. No, Wilson and Duell are not crazed fanatics of the man who assassinated Jesse James (though who knows, maybe they are); rather, Wilson apparently wanted his first born to be named after his father, ad executive Robert Wilson.

Wilson and Duell, a federal air marshal, welcomed the child in Hawaii last week. Duell delivered the baby at Wilson's $8 million Maui home in a natural birth aided by two midwives.

Wilson spent the afternoon after the baby arrived doing what one would imagine nearly every movie character he's ever played might.

"Owen has been doing a celebratory hula dance all afternoon!" an insider told Star hours after the baby
