Well, this is kind of like the celebrity version of that.

Linday Lohan tweeted this afternoon that she is not dating "Inception" star Tom Hardy.

"Tom Hardy is just a friend of mine ... The tabloids are wrong," she wrote.

Now, it's true, a couple of weeks ago, a dubious item came out that Hardy was serving as Lohan's "sober coach," a claim no one really believed and that was denied by Hardy's rep. And while, in her defense, one gossip outlet suggested Hardy and Lohan might be more than friends, that was quickly shot down, too.

Anyway, Lohan's tweet will ironically probably just fuel the fire here and ensure Hardy gets uncomfortable Lohan questions

It's a surprise the paparazzi assembled at this weekend's New Jersey Nets-Dallas Mavericks game didn't spontaneously combust at the sight of reality TV royals Snooki and Kim Kardashian uniting courtside, where they watched Kardashian's boyfriend, Nets forward Kris Humphries. 

The duo seemed to get along quite well, gabbing in their chairs while their respective dates for the evening (Snooki's boyfriend Jionni LaValle and Kim's friend Jonathan Cheban) kneeled by their sides like their personal attendants (which is probably essentially what they are, anyway).

For some reason, they stood and hugged somewhat dramatically (we're assuming it was half-time?) as young girls watched on from their seats, crossing their fingers that one day they might be as famous as these tanned supernovas.

And finally, they laughed. And these are not polite giggles; they are full-on belly laughing, no doubt discussing their plans for joint world domination by 2013.

Snooki displayed proper celebrity

Spears has re-signed with William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, Trawick's company, though Trawick -- who has been romantically involved with Spears for about two years -- won't be the only person handling Spears' affairs.

"Jason will be part of the team handling her career," UsMagazine.com's source says. "He won't be the only agent working with her, he will [be] handling acting endeavors, but there will be a big music department also on her account."

Us says that ultimately the choice was made for professional reasons.

"Jason is someone the family trusts, they know he will make the best decisions for her and she feels comfortable with him," explains the "insider." "WME is absolutely the best choice for Britney. They are the best at what they do and her team recognize that."

The switch comes a few months before the release of Spears'

No one messes with the Material Mom, and if they do, she will freeze them out (see: Sandra Bernhard, Courtney Love, Piers Morgan ... .) But when it comes to her brother, Christopher Ciccone, the blood feud runs deep.

Ciccone wrote the tell-all "Life With My Sister Madonna" three years ago, and can you believe it, still hasn't heard from her. Maybe someday that will change. But in the meantime, he has no problem weighing in on his 52-year-old sibling's current romance with 24-year-old French dancer Brahim Zaibat.

"I guess if she continues to date all these much younger guys, it could start to look creepy," he tells Radar. "But I think that a lot of Madonna's emotional needs are met by taking care of her children; these boyfriends must really be like a kind of distraction for her."

He adds: "She certainly isn't following societal values, but then again my sister never has and probably never will either."

While the conversation -- which featured Colin Firth, Nicole Kidman, Annette Bening, Michelle Williams, Natalie Portman and James Franco -- was for the most part quite serious in subject matter, Franco, of course, managed to steal the show with an aside about his personal history with sex tapes.

After the group was asked about "the secret" to a good on-screen kiss, Kidman went on for some time about how a good cinematic kiss is all about adhering to the director's vision, a point which Franco, well, expounded upon.

They met on Thanksgiving Day after Patricia reached out to the talk-show queen in November. According to TMZ, Lohan has pledged to avoid Los Angeles clubs for the time being, as she is "completely over the clubbing scene." Apparently this edict "extends to her friends as well," as Lohan is said to be cutting out friends who "only used her to party." (One wonders how many people this will leave her with.)

In other positive Lohan news, it looks she is being warmly received by her new neighbors in Venice, California... well, at least by one dude. Some fairly impressive Lohan street art -- emblazoned with a "Welcome to Venice" greeting -- was unveiled by street artist Jules Muck in Lohan's neighborhood. It's unclear why she is green in the painting; perhaps it represents her envy of her friends who get to hit up her beloved clubs while she stays at home.
